We are all born without a belief in any particular god. We're not born with a lot of things. Everyone is born with foreskin! It's one of the few things that you are born with that religion takes away (from some people). |

It is. Man can see beyond just what his eyes tell him what is before him... He can dream. He can imagine. He will create an explanation when one isn't provided... and even cling to those machinations to various degrees when reality eventually provides an explanation. No. SOME people do this. Arguably, most people do. But not all people. No, the fact that it actually isn't comparable makes it not comparable, for the reason I explained. You get that I am a human being, right? So yes, it does. Hell.... Your weird adamant assertion seems almost religious in nature. Like it threatens your belief that Man is a superstitious creature. See? That's easy to do. Feel free to argue that, if you think you can. Throw your world existence into some turmoil... Say a comet hitting the earth... and I bet you'll soon realise that religion is nonsense. In fact it's happened already. You're an atheist and you're just saying that you are religious. So I win. See how easy it is to argue when you can invent things out of thin air and pretend that the other side believes them?  |

If you tell me that you have a $1B in your bank account right now, I may not believe you....but I don't know for sure. So, one is a subset of the other but they're not the same. The nice thing about my example is that it's easily verified...unlike most god claims. |
