We're not hard wired to believe in any school of scientific thought either are we? The point being, as you I think agree, that we are 'hard wired' to seek the truth of things. And in that there is God because God is truth itself.
I think we'd have to find them first , in biological form, to satisfy the skeptics of their existence before we start trying to understand their theology. We have enough trouble trying to encourage humans to explore theology as we know it on earth .. not surprising there aren't many pondering extra terrestrial thoughts about God. But, I think the Vatican might have speculated as to whether any of our alien brothers avoided original sin! Wouldn't that be interesting 😀

...we are 'hard wired' to seek the truth of things. I don't think that a lot of people want to seek the truth. I think they gravitate towards things that make them comfortable. This sound like word salad. What does this even mean? If I am actually holding a pencil and I tell someone truthfully that I am holding a pencil, did we just experience god?

Everybody likes to be comfortable. We're all prone to laziness. I disagree that most don't want to know the truth or seek it.
Really? I'm surprised that on a religious discussion board you've never heard of a deity, or Jesus being referred to as Truth. Let me know when you find a post that sounds like word pizza. I'm curious to read.
God is the source of your being and truth, so , he can be experienced by you anytime and anywhere.. even when doing something so ordinary as holding a pencil and communicating this fact with sincerity and honesty to another human being. Only you, God and your friend can know if you 'experienced' God or not. All I can say is that it is my belief that the 'experience 'of God in the simplest of tasks is real.
Were you expecting a lightning bolt? Lol

Or, it could just be true that there is no deliberate supernatural. I was talking of our theology. The notion that man is 'special', for instance. Indeed it would. Also, how many angels can one fit on the head of a pin.

FF : I was talking of our theology. The notion that man is 'special', for instance. We are special. No other animal from Earth has landed on the Moon (that we know). Aliens might have gotten there before us and maybe they are special too. Since we have no idea of this or the number of landings on other moons by equally sentient beings, your claim is moot. Calculating the number of angels on a pin is a metaphor for pointless, arcane and time-wasting religious speculation. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/How_many_angels_can_dance_on_the_head_of_a_pin%3F
er.. so aliens could be like angels?
This reminds me of Clarke's Childhood's End.
