There are a few boards here that are meant for general discussion – this one, the soapbox, the sandbox, the water cooler, but all the other ones are cliquey, petty, and drama filled. People actually create and have discussions here! Good job, people!

I remember when the Soapbox was what the politics board is now...but then they made a politics board and the Soapbox became the Sandbox, and the Sandbox died.

This place would flourish if the Off Topic Posts and posters would come here for the "General discussions" instead of posting OT or unlabeled OTs on their "home boards". There was a thread on the Classic Film Board recently with the OP ranting about the mistreatment of horses in general BUT refusing to talk about the mistreatment of horses as it related to films or filmmaking.  The watercooler was a nice place to chit-chat on the old boards but it's really quiet there here. |
