Week 1's finally here, folks. Let's predict the ultimate winner now and see who got it right come February.
Although part of me thinks, since the Vikings are cursed, that the Packers are going to win it in Minnesota, I'm going to stick with my summer-long pick of Falcons over Raiders.

New England 31 - Tampa Bay 24 i can live with that. i find it a fascinating story Brady is a middle aged man but a terminator. for some reason i don't hate New England like the rest of the world - i don't like Belechick but have respect for the guy and i really don't get how anybody can hate on Brady. is it the greatest Dynasty of All-Time? those UCLA college basketball teams. Red Aurerbach (or however you spell it) Boston Celtic teams.... What was the decade the Yanks were dominant? '20s? Brady / Belechick has to be up there

"What was the decade the Yanks were dominant? '20s?"
That would be the 20's, 30', 40's, 50's, 60's, 90's & 2000's.

Itll be NE again. They have too much talent, even with no Edelman. Cooks imho is gonna be a massive tool for Brady.
Hey, I gotta hope for my Texans....

Until they're mathematically eliminated from playoff contention, of course you should include all the teams.

I don't believe the Patriots should be the prohibitive favorites to win the Super Bowl. I don't think anybody in the AFC is likely to knock them out, particularly if the Pats have HFA throughout, but I do think that several teams in the NFC match up well with them. And even though everybody talks about this possibility all day long, a rematch with the Giants would be very, very interesting, especially since this New York team should be much better than the 2007 and 2011 versions.
If you take the Patriots off the table, one possibility that nobody ever mentions is Raiders-Buccaneers. Rematch of 2002, anyone?

Raiders 44 - Green Bay 13
Silver and Black takes over from the P-Men as the dominant team in the AFC. Unless the lame duck situation in Oakland becomes a distraction. Its a shame. The Raiders fans, white thuggish, are very loyal. But they can't play in that outhouse any longer. Surprised the Athletics are packing their bags.
