Good. He seems to have some free time on his hands so that means he can keep his focus on the story. This is very good.

I really enjoyed The Accountant and Warrior, so there is definite potential, however I simply wonder if he the right fit.

Warrior was a great film! Definitely interested in what he does with Suicide Squad.

I have seen bits and pieces of The Accountant and liked what I saw. Warrior is a great movie that flies a bit under the radar.
Hopefully his "serious-and-yet-triumphantly-optimistic" directing and storytelling style can mesh with a Suicide Squad movie. I still really don't want this movie to even happen.
I feel like O'Connor would've made a great directorial candidate for the Nightwing standalone.

Doesn't matter who will direct the sequel. It will be like it's predecessor. Lame kiddie mess.

It was kiddie. Look how they fucked up the Squad members. Nobody acted like real criminals. And the relationship between Joker and Harley was watered down too. Even the animated series wasn't afraid to show this.

Even the animated series wasn't afraid to show this. It's true but I think the club scene and the prison scenes were very inapporriate for children

only thing i've seen from him was Jane Got a Gun. i thought it sucked well, that movie had way too many issues, director 1 leaves as does a lead, then they get a new director and then a supporting role leaves, then the second director soon after, then that actor in the supporting role comes back to play the male lead.....and then Gavin comes in a shoots.........I think.

I don't think they should even bother with a second one. Given the chance, I'd just have combined the Gotham City Sirens, Batgirl, and scrap that Harley Quinn/Joker spinoff for a Birds of Prey.
