On November 8, 2016 the United States voted Donald Trump its president. Was that punishment from God? How long should we expect the punishment to continue?
This is not to ignore the victims of Harvey-Katia-Irma-Jose, but I'm talking about real punishment here.

The majority of Trump's detractors are heathens, and they aren't even going to allow for the possibility that God exists. You might be surprised how many Republicans will not allow the possibility that a god exists. Since the Carter administration many years ago half the country thinks everything is fine and getting better and the other half thinks the country is going down to the devil on the fast train. Which half thinks which depends on which party holds the White House. The halves switch when the party holding the White House changes. I think the election of Trump does signal a light at the end of that tunnel. It is a very good question how long the tunnel is though. Thus the poll.

If there is a God, i don`t think he cares who you elected as president.

If there is a God, i don`t think he cares who you elected as president. The concerns I have about the United States that a god might not care about either anymore than it cares who is president are ... ... the national debt. The Abrahamic god, if that means anything, doesn't want his people to be debtors. I think debt is bad as well. When you start paying off current debts by borrowing more that's a bad sign. Economists can tell you that. ... people killing each other in the streets. It's not like people didn't kill each other before, but they had different reasons. They killed for money or sex partners. Killing people only because you don't like them is new and another bad sign, I think. I'm not saying anyone should kill for money or sex partners, just that killing people just because you don't like them seems especially inhuman. This problem is not just in the United States though obviously.

Catman fears that if Trump really does signal a light at the end of a tunnel, it's a freight train coming the other way.

If there was a God He is more likely to be punishing Trump for his life of misogyny, greed and arrogance by making him such a fail as a president.

We are not being punished with Trump because conservative values are more inline with God (God as in The Holy Trinity (Father/Son(Jesus Christ)/Holy Spirit)) than liberal views especially in the area of abortion as abortion is one of the biggest, if not THE biggest, offense against God that liberals support (abortion is murder in the eye of God). but it's not surprising that they are blind in a lot of moral things and can't see that though because they don't see the obvious when it comes to abortion which is this... liberals put a persons "choice" higher than a persons right to life when it should be the other way around. so someone who can't get see that much it's not surprising they are backwards on a lot of other things like the whole gay agenda etc.

I certainly hope they're right because if you are being punished and you say that didn't bother you then you might be punished all the more until it does bother you. I hope you're right about Trump having "conservative" values, you might be surprised how much he lined up with liberal Democrats after the election was over. With his campaign promises there and his actions here I suppose people can pick and choose and expect what they want. Good luck with that. What happens a lot when two "sides" compete is that when one fails there is an assumption that the other must be "right." Sometimes both sides are wrong. I think the Democrats have lost a lot of support. I agree they have. I agree they should have. That doesn't mean the Republicans are necessarily going to do much better.

The majority of Trump's detractors are heathens, and they aren't even going to allow for the possibility that God exists. The majority of Trump supporters are selfish, racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, evil, deplorable human beings who believe in fiction (religion) over reality (science). Consequently, they are the only ones who might give credence to the idea of "punishment from God" in the first place. Although they'd most likely only view a black man sitting in the Oval Office as punishment, as opposed to a guy who is publicly endorsed by the Grand Dragon of the KKK.

I'm glad to see you didn't forget to mention "deplorable." I'm looking forward to the launching of a warship with that name. In WWII there was a destroyer named USS The Sullivans, so why not honor another courageous collective in a similar manner? www.foxnews.com/us/2016/12/13/white-house-petition-suggests-naming-next-navy-ship-uss-deplorables.html

Weren't Christian conservatives whining about Obama being the anti-christ and the end was near? I'm gonna take a guess and say no on Trump as well.

Congratulations on not know what "propaganda" means, 😂 I'm looking forward to the day when you can't actually produce something approximating an intelligent argument (or counter argument) on ANY topic. Alas, it looks like both of us will remain disappointed.

Somebody get this sodomite a loudspeaker so he can broadcast it on the streets.
Or you can just tune in to MSNBC and get the same thing.
