Sadly, I think 'Justice League' is going to ruin that. GotG2 and SMH already ruined it. GotG2 and SMH were just awful. Do you even know why no one takes you seriously?

You're very stupid. If the team had gone from England to Belgium via The Netherlands, they would've had to travel farther north and then double back, which would've taken longer. Sir Patrick gave them only 2 days to find where Ludendorff was storing the poisonous gas so they had to take the fastest route possible (most likely across the English Channel to Dunkirk and then towards the town of Veld). Anybody with half a brain knows that when you need to get somewhere fast, you take the fastest route possible, except dumb MCU fans like you. They would have got there much quicker if they used their magic boat a boat so magic it can travel huge distances over a small space of time completely undetected yet requires a tug boat to take it up the river. Lol the route they could have taken through The Netherlands was safer and only an hour longer. Not counting the delay in Belgium itsself by the battle. So I dont think Im the stupid one here. Really DC-Fan, you are the most dispicable stupid son of a bitch I ever encountered.

Yep, SMH should've been called " Some Kind of Awful". So what your saying is The Breakfast Club, Pretty In Pink, Sixteen Candles, Weird Science, and Ferris Bueller's Day Off are awful No, I'm not saying anything about those movies. I'm saying that John Hughes wrote Some Kind of Wonderful. Since you're comparing SMH to a John Hughes movie and SMH is an awful movie, SMH should be called Some Kind of Awful.

John Hughes movies are not bad but a Spiderman movie shouldn't feel like one

Because things like humor, smiling, light, hope, and fun are evil because Marvel does it. Seriously, this guy has obviously never seen an episode of The Spectacular Spider-Man, which is generally hailed as one of the better Spider-Man shows. Homecoming feels like "The Movie" for Spectacular in many ways.

And seriously, I think it's refreshing that we have what could be considered as the first non-action MCU film ever. Pretty much. Let's face it. Some fans were getting burned out by almost all MCU films being action films from start-to-finish. 'Age of Ultron', while entertaining, WAS bit of a destruction porn, 'Guardians of the Galaxy' films were perhaps too fantastical, 'Ant-Man', while certainly unique, was still a massive action film to its core, 'Iron Man 3' was maybe too "out there", 'Captain America' sequels were perhaps too serious, and 'Doctor Strange' was the epitome of weirdness. 'Spider-Man: Homecoming' took some of those weights by providing slower pace and more relaxing tone so we can prepare for 'Thor: Ragnarok' a bit better.

I don't think people found the "Guardians" films too fantastical given the positive buzz. I won't argue with the rest, because fair enough.

Yeah, that was my exaggeration on films that Marvel was making over the years to make comparisons with 'Spider-Man: Homecoming' a bit more clear. In any case, all of these show that Marvel isn't afraid to use opposite end of spectrum for their films. For instance, Marvel presented a massive larger-than-life film named 'Guardians of the Galaxy', only to counter that by making a "smaller-than-life" film named 'Ant-Man'. Just last year, they presented their weirdest film of all time named 'Doctor Strange' and did the exact opposite with 'Spider-Man: Homecoming' this year.

While I don't agree that any of those qualities were negatives to the films you mentioned,
I DO very much agree that SMH being a slowly paced film right before Ragnorak is brilliant. And you are 100% spot on when you say that Marvel alternates the tone of their movies going from serious to light hearted to fantastic to grounded and back. Always switches gears.

, 'Captain America' sequels were perhaps too serious, I think they were perfectly balanced if you ask me. At least Winter Soldier. Just because it has less humor than mot MCU movies some people seem to think that it has no humor

I honestly couldn't give a shit if it's listed as a High School Comedy or not, though I did initially contest whether it mattered if it was or not when the OP insisted SMH would flop because it was a High School Comedy (how did that work out?).
Box Office Mojo's complete list of Genres is very limited and yet specific and doesn't cover many bases. It may be categorized as a high school comedy doesn't mean it should be seen as one or be compared to previous ones. It is much as High School Comedy as Iron Man and Batman Begins are industrial espionage/boardroom dramas, yet you would never consider them as such, compare them to other films in the genre, or insist that is what they primarily are.

Oh, that part was a joke to emphasize how 'Spider-Man: Homecoming' is different from previous MCU films.
