That's why SMH looked like it was written by a couple of kindergarten kids.
Peter's best friend brings a bomb that Peter gave him into the Washington Monument and blows up the elevator, but DHS, FB,a nd DC Police don't even detain him for questioning. Iron Man stops a ferry boat that's split in half from sinking simply by pushing the 2 halves of the boat together.
That's kindergarten-level writing.
No one knew what caused the explosion, so they had no reason to question Ned. In fact, it was probably the X-Ray that caused the alien device to go volatile. And yes, if he undoes the damage that was causing it to sink....it won't sink. It's hardly worse than stuff we've seen in DC movies. Don't bother... I already explained to that moron that a ferry is not a boat, also. It's a ferry. The floatation voids are parallel along the ferry, independent from one another, like a huge catamaran. That ferry in particular actually. That's why they made damn sure the cut was longitudinal, so the scene would make sense. If you cut it in the middle, to save it you literally just have to do what Peter and Tony did, prevent that the gap widens and prevent that it capsizes. Or, it's just a boat made by the gods, that's his excuse for wonder woman anyway.

While I don't agree that any of those qualities were negatives to the films you mentioned,
I DO very much agree that SMH being a slowly paced film right before Ragnorak is brilliant. And you are 100% spot on when you say that Marvel alternates the tone of their movies going from series to light hearted to fantastic to grounded and back. Always switches gears.
Oh, that part was a joke to emphasize how 'Spider-Man: Homecoming' is different from previous MCU films. I seeeeeeee :-) lol
You brought up a great point though, sometimes I enjoy watching a film with a certain mood and there are serious options, epic options, funny options, low scale options, high continuity, virtual standalones, etc etc.

They know exactly who was in the elevator and they know that Ned brought his backpack into the elevator. It would be pretty obvious that the bomb was in Ned's backpack. Not really, there was nothing left to analyze after everything happened and no one in the elevator saw the laser blast come out of Ned's backpack. You want stupid, look at the US Military not following up on Superman pretty much telling them he was Clark Kent in MOS. DHS can look at the video footage from the camera in the elevator and see that the laser came out of Ned's backpack.

It's no worse than the US Military never following up on Clark basically telling them he was Clark Kent at the end of MOS.

Guys! It's a comic book. Superman disguises himself with a pair of glasses. Clark Kent wears his costume and cape under his suit. I could go on forever but you get the picture. Don't over analyze comic books.

It's a ferry. The floatation voids are parallel along the ferry, independent from one another, like a huge catamaran. That is 100% false. There are tons of pictures online, proving they are not catamarans. I guess you think they still transport cars, too?

And Batman Vs Superman was a comedy on the level of Stepbrothers. Heck it could have actually been a remake of it. All they had to do at the end of the Martha scene was have Superman ask Batman "did we just become best friends" and Batman saying "yep" and then Hall and Oates "you make my dreams come true" come on.

I hope Sony bails out of the MCU and Takes back Spiderman Yeah, it took away so much that the movie's only made $825 million and counting. That money is coming from superhero fans. I'm pretty sure that everyone involved is quite pleased with how it's turned out.

I can and I did. But if you want more arguments ok. 92% on rottentomatoes, A on cinemascore, 73 on metacritic and they've already announced the sequel. So SMH is not regarded as trash and most people like it when superhero movies do something a little different.

for that particular one is 100% true Well... I guess I can't argue with that! I said they were like catamarans, as in they have separate floatation, as in if one compartment is flooded the other s still float. Here is a structural blueprint, you can see that if the cut is like in the movie, no major floating compartment would be compromised. link

Yeah, they won't sink after splitting in half because the blueprints said so, just like how the blueprints said the Titanic wouldn't sink either.

Homecoming for sure felt like a superhero movie, WTF are you talking about? So you rather Spider-Man not be in the MCU with other heroes and instead be stuck in a contained universe along with their poor attempts of Venom and Black Cat and Silver Sable? Both of which sound like they're heading to be Fan4stic 2.0.'s...
