SMH had poor word of mouth. That's why it had massive drops of 60% on its 2nd weekend and another 50% on its 3rd weekend. And SMH underperformed financial expectations. SMH was heavily marketed as Iron Man 4 and SMH even included cameos from Captain America. So SMH had MCU's 3 most popular heroes and was supposed to have easily surpassed Wonder Woman at the domestic box office, but Wonder Woman beat SMH easily at the domestic box office. $824,624,896 worldwide, not bad at all and its still making moolah. Wonder Woman's total worldwide box office is $817,662,300 . And in case you've been living under a rock these past few years studios are more attentive to worldwide gross than domestic these days. No, studios don't give a shit about foreign box office because they keep very little of it. It's the domestic box office where their bread and butter is and that's what they care about the most. It's like asking people "Who has the most hits in baseball history?" Most people are going to say Pete Rose. But a few people might say "Well, if you count hits in Japan, then Ichiro has more hits than Pete Rose." Then someone else will say "Well, if you count hits in Japan, why not count hits in the Minor Leagues too?" Because nobody gives a shit about hits in Japan or the Minor Leagues. When people talk about the most hits in baseball, it's only hits in Major League Baseball that they care about. Likewise, nobody gives a shit about the number of yards that Warren Moon passed for in the CFL. When people talk about passing yards in football, it's only passing yards in the NFL that they care about. And likewise, studios don't give a shit about foreign box office because they keep very little of that. It's only domestic box office, where they make their bread and butter, that the studios care about. That's why practically every article and entertainment news show about the box office this year has said that Beauty and the Beast is the #1 movie of the year and Wonder Woman is the #2 movie of the year (and #1 movie of the summer, easily beating GotG2 and SMH). [no, SMH was definitely not marketed as Iron Man 4. SMH was heavily marketed as Iron Man 4. Iron Man was in every SMH poster and every SMH trailer. SMH also had cameos from Captain America. So SMH had MCU's 3 most popular heroes in it, and Wonder Woman still single-handedly beat SMH easily at the domestic box office.

Studios have put more emphasis on profits earned from the international marketplace in recent years, particularly with China. That's why the last act of Transformers 4 was set entirely in Hong Kong and they had popular performers from over there in the movie like Li BingBing and Zou Shiming. And that's just one example, many major releases as of late have been trying to be friendly towards the international marketplace and try to avoid offending their culture, those that do, even unintentionally, get the boot, like Ghostbusters - it was denied release because of its depiction of the supernatural. And no, SMH was not "heavily marketed" as Iron Man 4, it was not an Iron Man story, Tony Stark had a small role in its story but it was only highlighted to distance the product from the other films that had come before it.

No the boat in wonder woman is just sloppy. "It might be from the gods". What a childish thing.
Well I've proven that the ferry scene was within the realm of possibility, within the limits of a sh movie. You just make kiddie excuses.
Don't bother answering. I'm done with this argument. I've proven my point with facts, but you? You can go fuck yourself, you're to thick to have a dialogue.

Except Homecoming has done well critically in addition to doing well financially, positive word of the mouth has made it one of the biggest hits of the summer, whereas the divisive Pirates and Transformers underperformed financial expectations. SMH had poor word of mouth. That's why it had massive drops of 60% on its 2nd weekend and another 50% on its 3rd weekend. And SMH underperformed financial expectations. Oh my god, stop it. Spider-Man Homecoming was not marketed as Iron Man 4, nor is it an Iron Man sequel. You're an idiot.

what a moronic thing to say... The blueprints don't say anything, moron. It just proves it is possible it wouldn't sink with that kind of damage. The blueprints of the Titanic proves it would actually sink, and it did. No, the blueprints said the Titanic wouldn't sink. The blueprints said if 1 compartment was flooded, it would be sealed off and there was no way the water could get into the adjacent compartments. The blueprints basically said the Titanic was unsinkable. That's why they thought the lifeboats weren't needed and didn't have enough of them for all the passengers. you are the one shrugging aside a major plot hole in wonder woman as a boat from the gods. It's not a plothole at all. It's an Amazon boat so it's probably a gift from the gods, just like the Lasso of Truth.[/quote] You can't assume that.
