Hey All,
I'm noticing that Firefox and Adblock on this site do not get along. White screen crashes with circle and the site stops responding.
Is anyone else getting this?

I use FF and AdBlock and have not experienced this issue.

Have had no problems on FF but I've also disabled AdBlock for this site - the ads are not intrusive and it supports the site

I disable AdBlock when I get annoyed by the pagination links not taking me to the top of the page. But you're right - the ads are not at all intrusive. The placeholder text holds true.

I've also considered moving the top ad above the header, but it looks weird and jacks with my OCD. lol

The ads are fine - dunno what the freeforums policy is on displaying ads to support your site, but for me they are more than bearable although some of them are weird - not sure what canestan cream could do for me but there ya go.

I wish I could take back my google search for "What is the use of canesten cream?"

some advice... 'uBlock Origin' (i.e. addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/ublock-origin/ ) is better than Adblock (or Adblock plus etc). it's basically like Adblock but uses less computer resources. i don't really see any reason to use Adblock over uBlock Origin to sum it up since it's just superior. p.s. i also use a HOSTS file (i.e. winhelp2002.mvps.org/hosts.htm (this is updated about once a month and you have to manually update it to get the most up to date things it blocks)) which blocks a lot of junk online and it's system wide to as any IP addresses/websites blocked in that host file simply cannot be accessed by ANYTHING on your computer. so in other words it don't matter what browser or program that runs on your computer as anything that tries to access the websites/ip addresses blocked in the HOSTS file simply won't load ; but one slight issue i noticed with this HOSTS file is that when clicking links on IMDB2 forums that take you to websites outside of these IMDB2 forums it will act up there since apparently that 'redirect.viglink' website is apart of what's blocked in the HOSTS file (i know this because when i temporarily disable the HOSTS file it works as expected). it's easy to see what i mean as when you highlight a external link with your mouse pointer on these IMDB2 boards, like one of the links in my signature for example, you will see these IMDB2 boards automatically have that "redirect.viglink" thing there "http://redirect.viglink.com/?key= etc etc". that's why i mentioned in my signature that if any of the links i have in my signature don't work they will if you manually type those links into your browser or copy and paste the exact text (i.e. this gets rid of any of that viglink redirection stuff). with all of that said... i figure the main thing is to use 'uBlock Origin' where as stuff like HOSTS file and other things, while can be nice, are not as critical and can cause slight issues once in a while (but if you suspect it's at fault you can temporarily disable it pretty quickly and see if what your trying to load now works) but it's largely fine (only acts up with two sites i use that have link redirection as everything else i use is totally fine) in my experience as i have been using it for a while now. i even got a extension installed called 'Disconnect' (i.e. addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefox/addon/disconnect/ ) which helps stop sites from tracking you etc. but generally speaking... the less extensions you got installed in your browser the smoother it will likely be as i am sure it's okay if you have some but i would not load down your browser with a lot of extensions as i suspect it could slow things down after a while. i got 4-6 extensions installed in Pale Moon x64 (it's a Firefox like browser basically).

You might find this of some interest: i.imgur.com/auoFhrh.pngSee that section at the bottom that says "disabled"? If anyone is making money off your fungus here, it sure as hell ain't me.
