My votes go to Alfie Allen (Theon Greyjoy) Charles Dance (Lord Tywin) Stephen Dillane (Stannis) and a special mention to Jonathan Pryce. Please note that I am asking who are best actors only taking this show in consideration. We have not discussed this topic on this board as far as I can remember. You are allowed to vote for 3 actors. Sorry if I missed your actor. You can vote for "any other" option and mention them in comments. Please don't give biased opinions based on who are your favourite characters. I'm not sure there's a better set of actors on any TV show ever. The cast of Game of Thrones is incredible from top to bottom. |

I'm curious as to why those particular actors were selected for the poll. Peter Dinklage is included, yet no other major characters' actors. Is there some other poll here that includes Emilia Clarke, Lena Headey, Kit Harington, Maisie Williams, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, etc?
Perhaps the poll should be re-titled: The best B-list actors on Game of Thrones show?

I chose Davos, who I absolutely adore, Tyrion, and Olenna from the list...with Ramsey being a close runner-up as well as Catelyn Stark. But I also love Bronn and Friend Zone too! My guy likes Stannis and Tyrion best of the men and Cersei of the women. Hah @aj_June, I wish I looked like her! Best looking gal on GoT IMO!  |

I just chose better actors on the show as against my favourite characters. Though I can understand that some people may be of opinions that Jon, Dany, Cersei and sansa are good actors. A difference needs to be made between best actors and most actors. Best actors are those who most convincingly incarnate a character. They feel genuine, not forceful in what they express. Jonathan Pryce (High Sparrow) was one of those. Most actors are those who keep acting something whenever they get the chance. They "tell" a lot but it looks like a show and they can exaggerate their character. I cannot help thinking that Alfie Allen (Theon Greyjoy) was made to fall into that category by having to play a wreck over several seasons.
Compare it to the way Daenerys flinches at hearing her brother call her name in her very first scene and how she reacts to him to see the difference:

I cannot help thinking that Alfie Allen (Theon Greyjoy) was made to fall into that category by having to play a wreck over several seasons. Compare it to the way Daenerys flinches at hearing her brother call her name in her very first scene and how she reacts to him to see the difference: Charlie Chaplin was often criticised for emotionally blackmailing his audience. So purists used to say Buster Keaton was a far more talented actor who used genuine acting skills rather than emotional blackmail to deliver himself. I liked them both though Buster always felt more genuine as an actor. Theon has been helped by the fact that he had to go through different stages and that gave him a lot of chance to be recognised as an actor. But I think he did deliver himself well enough. Pryce was just awesome. |

I like actors who make me feel something when I watch them ,Sophie Turner is an exceptional actress
and it's annoying she gets overlooked for nominations just because her character is not as popular like some others

Emilia looks so young here but I think look wise they captured the character in first season so well , I don't know what happened but after season 1 |
