I like the first Mortal Kombat quite a bit, I also love the Resident Evil franchise along with the two Jolie Tomb Raiders, Warcraft, and Assassins Creed.
Oh and I loved Prince of Persia.
I rank them as so:
1. Warcraft 2. Resident Evil (franchise) 3. Tomb Raider (both films) 4. Assassins Creed tied w/ Mortal Kombat 5. Prince of Persia

Mortal Kombat was watchable. Street Fighter was wretched. Mario Bros wasn't good but i actually like it just on the virtue of being so weird. didn't at all care for the interpretations of Tomb Raider or Resident Evil. Silent hill was decent Horror, if a poor representation of the franchise (though the Restless Dreams fan edit is superior to the theatrical cut)
haven't bothered to see anything more contemporary.

Prince of Persia is actually really good, no idea why it didn't do well at the box office. Silent Hill isn't bad. I like its visual style but the story has no substance whatsoever.
Mortal Kombat and Mortal Kombat: Annihilation are fun junk movies. Double Dragon is hilarious.

I'd say my favorite would be Silent Hill. The first one only though as I thought the 2nd was pretty shit. I also enjoyed Max Payne. While it didn't live up to the hype I had for it given that Max Payne was/is one of my favorite video games I did enjoy Mark Wahlberg in the part. Mila Kunis was badly cast in it though. I wouldn't argue that it's a good movie but it was an enjoyable watch. Prince of Persia was meh for me. I didn't hate it and I didn't like it. Angry Birds was surprisingly not as bad as I expected it to be. Might of just been the really low standards I had watching it on Netflix but I didn't hate it.
Mortal Kombat is something I put with a Batman & Robin. It's so bad that it's good.
Now the rest of them? Resident Evil - Hate that franchise Street Fighter - Not so bad it's good, just bad Mario Bros. - So dumb Tomb Raiders - Meh didn't care for them Hitman - Was bad, don't know why they thought that game would work on film...twice! Alone in the Dark - It had Tara Reid as a scientist...that's all you need to know
One that I wish did get made was Fatal Frame which Steve Spielberg was involved with. Oh what that movie could have been.

1.Need for Speed (2014) - 6-6.5/10 (somewhere between my 200-243rd favorite movie in general. i actually like this more than some of the Fast & Furious series.) 2.Hitman (2007) - 6/10 (looking at it in comparison to the actual video game character and how i think it should be done (i.e. more in the line of The American (2010)) it failed but looking at it more as a simple action variation it's good enough for a mild Thumbs Up. but basically i think if i went more along the lines of The American (2010) in terms of it's tone/atmosphere along with more of a character study it could be a quality movie i as i think the Hitman character is basically the most interesting video game character but since these 'video game turned movie' things are almost always out for a quick buck what i am asking is basically not going to happen and they turn into simple action movies basically which worked with the movie i listed above (Need for Speed) but it's not going to cut it for Hitman. also, the worst section in the movie is the sword fight scene as it fits with that character the least pretty much.) 3.Mortal Kombat (1995) - 5.5-6/10 (barely a thumbs up) (i actually seen this with my cousin opening day (Aug 18th 1995) as back then we were huge fans of the video game and still got nostalgia from those days as i feel that video game series peaked in 1995-1996 basically with UMK3 in the arcades. but with that said... on my most recent viewing on Dec 3rd 2015 it's fizzled a bit and just barely hanging onto Thumbs Up status as i would not be surprised if it's the nostalgia keeping it afloat as i think without that i probably would not be re-watching it anymore.) @smurfbate the first movie from 2007 worked alright enough as a action movie but the 2015 movie did not work as it while it was mostly watchable, especially after the first 25-30min, in the end it's forgettable. i gave it a 5 but i would say it's closer to a 4(below average) than a 6. i wished i thought the same as i thought it was a below average movie. i gave it a 4/10. p.s. i played all of the video games back when they where new on the PC. i think i have heard people mention this before on IMDb in the past when these kinds of topics come up but i thought it was forgettable. but maybe those who like it, it's more of a atmosphere thing for you guys? ; or maybe that as a stand alone movie it was decent for the genre etc? brokenbowi could not even finish Warcraft due to boredom. it's a shame because the directors previous two movies are quite strong for me... Source Code (2011)(8.5-9/10)/Moon (2009)(8/10). i never bothered with Assassins Creed as it looks like a pretty generic movie with a decent name actor in it is all. as far as Tomb Raider i think Angelina Jolie is about as good as one could be for the part but the movies themselves just tend to be forgettable. i never seen Prince of Persia as it just don't look like it would be worth giving a chance for me. i might have caught bits and pieces of Resident Evil stuff but it's pretty safe for me to say they are forgettable to.
