Saffers have had two close games against England in t-20 format. I saw a bit of one of them and that was a good game. I was a bit bummed out by the white ball part of the Saffers Tour by England. They went into the 50 over leg resting 5 of the World Cup winning team (Archer out injured made it 6), and then the captain tells us it's all about trying things and really they are focused on winning the T20 World Cup! What sort of message is that to go into a 50 over series? However, winning the test series, drawing the 50 over series and today winning the T20 series (today's game was unreal), shows it to be a very productive tour for England. Plus Saffers have found some very good players to move forward with. I'm keeping an eye on the England Lions tour of Australia. They have "rested" a few players and made sure that Sibley and Jennings get some crease time - both got hundreds in readiness for the Lanka tour next month - www.bbc.co.uk/sport/cricket/scorecard/ECKO46444Jake Lehmann is captain and going well for Oz 11, relation to Shrek I presume?

T-20 games should start a bit later in SA. I really feel stupid that I missed the last one. I was hoping it would start later on Sunday. So there were three close t-20 games in South Africa and the same in NZ too a couple of weeks back. Even though I am not a massive fan of t-20 I have to concede it rarely fails to deliver. Hoping for a great t-20 wc this year.

Jake Lehmann is Shrek's son. When Shrek was coach he'd leave the room whenever the idea of selecting Jake was raised.

So 1st test Between India and NZ starts at 4 am India time. A lot of memories of watching these early morning games in Australia and New Zealand. Earliest memories from 1992 WC when I was 6 and would wake up early. My parents would not allow me to see the late night games that happened in West Indies but early morning games were better as my parents would be sleeping and I would watch listening to commentary on low audio.

In Oz it was the opposite. Windies games would usually still be on until 7 or 8am, while cricket anywhere else was an overnight job spart from SC, which typically ended at around 10pm which was manageable.

Umar Akmal: Pakistan suspend batsman under anti-corruption code - www.bbc.co.uk/sport/cricket/51572501Be interesting to see if NZ can give India a game at least. T20 tomorrow, Saffers/Oz - again this should be interesting.

Kiwis on top here as they ball in the right area and make Indians uncomfortable.

Brilliant start by Indian women in the ICC Women's World T20 2020. Getting a victory against Aussie women who are possibly one of greatest cricket teams in history of cricket is a great start. Indian women team in my opinion will eventually match up to Australia in a couple of years. They can do it with spin I believe.

Yes. Entertaining game. I honestly thought before the tri series that the rest of the world was a long way behind Australia and the World Cup would be a cake walk. Even 12 months ago I think that was the case, but bloody hell, India have caught up fast.
To be honest, it was a slow track which suited their bowlers, but ir's one thing to have an advantage and another thing entirely to exploit it against strong opposition.
Watching Yadav make the Aussie bats look silly with a series of wrong 'uns took me back to watching Mustaq Ahmed do the same thing in 1996 Sydney test.

I was watching the game on Hot Star (which is the no.1 streaming platform in India) and saw that the game was being watched by 1.4 million people along with me. So that's very encouraging. Keep in mind that the match might be broadcasted on another TV channel too so there could have been more viwers.

West Indies women making heavy work chasing 78 against Thailand: 3-27. And before you ask Who Cares: it was either that or a particularly apalling Super Rugby game or worse still : NRL Trial Games (shudders). No interest in the Maori vs Indigenous game though I have no issues with the concept.

Windies Women won by 7 wickets. Thailand respectable in the field, but lack any batting.

And I was very impressed with Jamieson in the parts I saw of NZ/ India. Another classy seam bowler for the kiwis.

Saffers defeat England in the ladies WC, which is an even worse start than Oz, but England are in an easier group.
And their men bounced back from a rather poor performance in Game One to take Game Two by 12 runs, outbowling Australia to defend a moderate total of 158. Australia looked cruising to victory at 2-124 in the 16th over, but Ngidi intervened, taking 2 wickets as Australia managed only 22 runs off the last 27 balls of the innings.

NZ in command against India. Leading by 39 with only 6 Indian wickets to fall and Rahane the only player of substance still to fall.

Congrats NZ on a great victory which was thoroughly deserved. India were outclassed and out-strategied in every way. Top performance Kiwis. I wish hamsterman was still posting here.

Don’t know what happened to India - definitely not a bowled out for under 200 pitch in Wellington. Abysmal performance by Australia’s middle order in the T20. It’s a massive problem that has no obvious solution. Every team in the BBL has all their big guns up top, and there are very few middle order finishers of any note anywhere at all.

Australia's women continue to struggle in the World T20, just scraping past Sri Lanka with 3 balls to spare chasing 123. India won a tight one over Bangladesh by 18 runs. I'd say Australia will steady a bit now they have a win, but a nervy start to their camoaign to say the least.
They really need to look at the scheduling for future WWT20s. There's 4 teams who could win it and for some stupid reason 3 are in one group and 1 is in the other.
