England suck. India have not had a better chance of a win in England since 2007.
The use of Broad yesterday: he seemed to be stuck on 21 overs 2-40 for ever. Then they threw him the ball for a couple of overs, he took 2-8 and wrapped things up in a hurry.
Amyway England 9 down and 37 ahead at stumps. NZ about to get their reward for dominating 90% of the first two tests.
Rabada made quick work of the Windies second innings: 5-46 as they won by an innings.

Cricket icon Sachin Tendulkar said Tuesday England should allow Ollie Robinson to start playing again, after the fast bowler apologised following his suspension for historic racist and sexist tweets. "We need to understand that he did that many, many years ago and he is sorry about it," Tendulkar told AFP.
"They left him out in the second Test in spite of doing well and he realises what he had done... he apologised and also said that this won't happen again," he said.

oh this annoying rain. I think Kiwis are strong favourites to beat India with the kind of good bowling NZ have got.

oh this annoying rain. I think Kiwis are strong favourites to beat India with the kind of good bowling NZ have got. I think it’s dead set 50/50. Shami, Ishant and Bumrah aren’t quite Boult, Southee and Wagner plus friends - but India does have a very strong batting lineup. Their strength, regardless of conditions, is their spin bowling. Ashwin and Jadeja. And NZ historically doesn’t play quality spin well. The last series between India and NZ was arguably the worst batting display across 4 innings I’ve seen from India in the last 20 years.

I think India's women team finally has a star that can match the quality and dominance of Australian superstars Meg Lanning and Ellyse Perry.
I have seen Shafali Verma on quite a few occasions and even though I am usually hesitant to trust young players who have not been on the scene for long, in case of Verma I am quite confident. She is absolutely brilliant. The only problem is that Indian team is not at the same level as the Aussies.

India in effect 2-32 in their second innings in the WTC with a day to go. NZ can still win. India likely can't.

India have deadset bottled this. NZ only need 139 to win the WTC. Not a cakewalk, but they should manage to get the win from here.

And it was NZ who beat India in the last WC semis LOL
Kohli often seems to fail in the big matches.

And it was NZ who beat India in the last WC semis LOL Kohli often seems to fail in the big matches. India lost that game twice. The top order collapse was bad enough, but Jadeja played one the best rearguard innings of all time, but was Shanghaied by Dhoni doing who knows what and waiting until the asking rate was 15 an over before playing any sort of expansive shots.

33-1 Latham out stumped off Ashwin. Poor shot. Has to better there. King Kane in, more than a 100 still needed. Not panic stations yet. But they don’t need Ashwin with his tail up on the attack….

108-2 31 to get off 14 overs. Williamson and Taylor well set though, and if needed a few slogs near the end shouldn’t be a problem.

Williamson and Taylor see it home as the Kiwis win by 8 wickets.
Outstanding performance from an outstanding team.

Excellent win by Kiwis who were the better team. I hope this Kiwi show keeps going for years.
Jaspreet Bumrah has actually faded. He under performed in New Zealand, then didn't impress in Australia and once again disappointed in England. At the moment Shami and Ishant are better.
King kane is a true gentleman and at the moment the cricketer I respect and like the most. Kiwi bowling seems to be the best in the world.
Kohli should just go. I repeat, whatever success India has had in the last 5 years is not because of Kohli but Indian bowlers. Kohli is a terrible captain who is jumping like monkey everytime a wicket does down for opposition. He is so representative of an angry stupid Indian of 2020s.

I repeat, whatever success India has had in the last 5 years is not because of Kohli but Indian bowlers. Kohli is a terrible captain who is jumping like monkey everytime a wicket does down for opposition. He is so representative of an angry stupid Indian of 2020s. Kohli as captain is an interesting one, because I think his tenure has more to do with what he represents as a talismanic figure rather than any technical nous. Especially in India, cricket doesn’t require deep thinking - spinner friendly tracks and men around the bat, bat long and the scoreboard does the rest. What Kohli does do well is that he is the mix of flamboyance, exuberance and skill that drives the cricket of a nation. He gives a shit, and it shows. India needs that expressive leader. Ganguly was in that mould, and the team thrived under his leadership. Under Tendulkar, Dravid or Kumble - they struggled. Too passive, too “old school”. Dhoni had a vastly different tack - his insistence on fitness and regiment was perfect at the time, as India had easily the best XI on paper in the world in all three formats. All they needed was focus. After Dhoni’s success, another passive leader would’ve been a disaster. Riding on the coattails of the previous successes, India would’ve sunk. Where I think people misunderstand is that Kohli is a natural leader. But he needs a tactics based consigliere. Rahane is that man. Success in Australia proved that. For all the talk, Rohit isn’t either of those two. He’s a very selfish batsman (he only knows one way how to bat) and much of his success as captain has come on the back of having the better XI rather than any captaincy brilliance. The only other option of any note, Rishabh Pant, would be exciting to watch, but not great for the results. Too impetuous, too green.
