Afghanistan showing they belong on this stage - need to improve their batting though. Anyways, Usman Qadir, son of Abdul, took 3/50 yesterday. For Western Australia. He’s stopped playing in Pakistan due to reverse nepotism by the looks of it. Again, only in Pakistan..... Rashid khan seems like 90s hard hitting tailenders. Not exactly an all-rounder yet but can play some good innings.
I think Afg can beat surprise any of the Asian or for that matter any of the international teams in subcontinent conditions on any given day. They can win a series against SL at least now when SL are in slump.
Khan’s batting is more arse than class. He’s in the Siddle and Lyon class of batsman. He knows he’s a tailender and doesn’t pretend otherwise. i reckon Afghanistan could beat Sri Lanka in a Test series. Since Mahela and Sanga retired, their batting has been terrible. And outside of Herath, their bowling lacks a little punch. I’d imagine though that Sri Lanka might actually produce green tops for Afghanistan and try and beat them with seamers...

Great. Didn't ever thought of this stat. Probability says there's very low chance of we seeing it.

Averaged over 50 in both Tests and ODIs for major part of his career till he suddenly became depressed.

What would impress me is a hattrick of stumpings. Would most likely happen on a turning track in a limited over game while the side is chasing a total and need to get runs quickly.

What would impress me is a hattrick of stumpings. There has only been one recorded hat-trick of stumpings in first-class cricket, by Gloucestershire's Welsh-born keeper William Brain against Somerset in Cheltenham in 1893: his three victims all came off the bowling of the future England legspinner Charles Townsend. Although the hat-trick did end Somerset's second innings, it didn't end the match - Gloucestershire were left 302 to win and, despite the presence of WG Grace and his brother EM, were bowled out for 174 to lose comfortably. www.espn.co.uk/cricket/story/_/id/22485794/bumble-almost-unique-feat-hat-trick-stumpings

This Asia Cup has been fecking insane: Hong Kong and Afghanistan nearly beating India, Bangladesh getting to the final by beating Pakistan. A Bangla victory would really cap the craziness.
Probably get an easy Indian win in a ho hum final.

Surrey going for world record: www.theguardian.com/sport/live/2018/sep/27/county-cricket-the-final-day-of-the-county-season-liveHello! Yes, it’s back for one final fling - the last CC blog of the year. After yesterday’s clatter of wickets, we have only one match still going, and aptly, it’s here. The Champions versus Essex. When Surrey were bowled out for 67 on the first day, defeat looked inevitable, and their lead now is still only (but symmetrically) 67, but…with this team, at this ground, anything is possible. If they do pull off the most unlikely heist of the season, it will be a world record. No side has ever won a first-class match having conceded a first -innings lead of more than 402. That record is held by Northern Districts, who beat Central Districts by two wickets at the Bert Sutcliffe Oval in December 2006. Surrey’s first-innings deficit here was 410. Essex currently 97/7 chasing 132: www.espncricinfo.com/series/8052/scorecard/1127669/surrey-vs-essex-specsavers-county-championship-division-one-2018

Essex need 35 runs with 3 wickets in hand. Ryan ten Doeschate is still batting for Essex.
