I don't understand what the connection is between living in a secular society and not having religious education at schools. How do you expect people to be open-minded about religion if they aren't taught anything about it? If you are trying to suggest that banning religious education would be a good and 'secular' thing to do, I couldn't disagree more. I see no difference between this and banning Harry Potter books. offering an elective class revolving around religious studies is one thing. forcing someone to swallow dogma wrapped in the red, white and blue, is quite another. and i guarantee you the right wing christians here in the united states desire nothing more than to continue the pilgrim mind screw started after plymouth rock landed on their collective heads. you have to keep in mind that religion, all religion, is consummate evil. spawned by the twisted self-serving minds of morons who think they know better.

extrapolate the voodoo while doling out the kool aid
the difference between a madman handing out kool aid to a brainwashed tribe of the misbegotten and a mega church promising eternal life is nothing more than an irs filed tax exemption.
