Maybe he just needs the right director. They cold be just using that he looks like he can play Superman. He has that look in the BTS pics he takes. Maybe he needs to hang out with The Rock and Will Smith and get some of that charisma. Perhaps it is just Zack Synder's vision of Superman was just plain wrong, trying to make Superman Batman. That too. Can also see that WB might have wanted to capitalize on Nolan's Batman (which wasn't as dark as people think).

What are your thoughts on his idea? Sounds like you'll hate it, considering you all but deepthroat the bleak and dreary approach of the DCEU. Shows how much you really know me. My favorite Superman films are Superman II and Superman I then Man of Steel. I also really like Superman Returns.

The very idea of a superhero movie where the hero actually behaves like a hero repulses you. That's why you love the DCEU so much. No heroes to be found, because they're too busy causing massive damages while never actually trying to save people. I also know that all it takes to impress you with Community College Entry-Level philosophy.

There were a few people who also liked it in another thread... My favorite Superman film is the original '78 one. I think it's the best superhero movie of them all.

Whatever you think helps you impress people, little boy. Yeah, you shouldn't be talking about "intelligence" considering you called Annabelle: the Creation "innovative."

I've been keeping out of this conversation after my original post because I'm that weird guy who loved Superman Returns. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) I thought it was emotionally moving, well-acted, well-directed, and all "...color, feel-good, heroic," featuring a character who's "...a beacon of light in darkness," as Vaughn put it so well. That's Superman for me. I loved it, too! ![](https://s26.postimg.org/7d754nzix/clap.gif)

And somehow got it into his head that the DCEU is more popular than the MCU.

I have no problem with this. Bring on the classic Supes!
They just need to make it seamless. We can't have Superman from BvS become Superman from Superman II all of the sudden.
His rebirth in Justice League would be the time to do it, I guess.

I didn't know McDonalds handed out degrees in Psychology...What a country we live in. In all seriousness though it doesn't matter what your degree is in, your posts definitely do not reflect your apparent education.

Notice his color is the same as Bizarro in Superman 3. He also made Superman almost secondary to Cyclops's character who he made up for the movie.

While we're patiently waiting for a Man of Steel sequel, he shares his thoughts on BVS:
In an interview with TheWrap, Vaughn revealed he was opposed to the direction DC took in the mid-2010s. He was being considered to direct Man of Steel 2 in 2017 until there was so much disdain surrounding Justice League. He had pitched what he said was a "colorful, fun Superman movie" before MoS was produced. This was opposed to the dark tone that eventual director Zach Snyder established. This is what Vaughn had to say about the decision to make BvS:
"I just thought it was a mistake putting the Batman vibe into the Superman world. I just think they’re two separate — they’re just not relatable in any way, in my mind. It should be fun."

Not exactly thrilled with Matthew's Kingsman films to be honest.

How about XMEN: First Class? That was good. Yeah I liked it too. Not too keen on the Kingsman films myself but if it was more like XMEN: FIRST CLASS with a bit of the charm from Stardust, he could do it.
