To quote Jules Winnfield "Not even in the same fu**in' ballpark." To clarify, my answer to your question is a definite no.

No, but Tarantino is still a terrific filmmaker.

Maybe in the Twilight Zone but here in reality on Earth Hell No. If you compare the two Tarantino definitely falls under an acquired taste, with Scorsese he adds a touch of class to everything but at same time gives movie goers film buffs a little bit of everything so generally you end up satisfied with your film experience. The only Taratino film that gives that and maybe equal some of Scorsese's classic films is Jackie Brown. All his other movies are overly talky, overblown, and too stylistic for my tastes.

What does better even mean in this sense? All I can tell you for sure that I've enjoyed more Tarantino movies than I have Scorcese movies.

QT is not better than Scorsese but it's ridiculous to say he's the most overrated director ever. Spike Lee, Terrence Malick, David Lynch and too many Swedish, French and Russian directors to list are overrated but QT is rated correctly.

Depends how you compare.
Scorsese's work post 2000 has been very hit and miss. Hugo was good, The Departed had (mostly) excellent performances but doesn't hold up as well on repeated viewings. Then again I wouldn't consider Taxi Driver to be a masterpiece, it's got to be Goodfellas.
I've highly enjoyed all of Tarantino's work, Jackie Brown being my ultimate favourite. I don't know why Tarantino is being ambushed on here, but just because he hasn't been in the biz as long as Scorsese doesn't make his knowledge of the craft lesser.
You can see the influence and drive in both, when you begin to compare the two is becomes apparent just how much these guys have in common with each other.
