I acquired my autographed B&W 8x10 of Jake LaMotta clocking Sugar Ray Robinson at the National Sports Collectors convention in the mid to late 1980's. He was a guest signer and I paid $5.00 for his auto on the photo. The photo was an additional $3.00. In my photo, Jake has just landed an uppercut and Sugar Ray is reeling backwards.

...I also met and paid Buffalo Bob Smith of Howdy Doody fame for his autograph on a book about the Howdy Doody Show...:-)
The payment was a contribution to charity so there was no hesitation on my part...
