Nobody likes Thursday Night Football, and nobody wants to make the damn threads, so please join me tonight for a rush of shit and color on short rest.
Rams look... a little better? Maybe Jared Goff will play like a reasonable quarterback this season. 49ers defense are no slouches, however, and will be rearing to go at home. Unfortunately they may have to record a shutout to stand a chance at winning; SF offense looks putrid, even worse than the Giants and that's saying something. Brian Hoyer is no Matt Ryan, as Kyle Shanahan is discovering. By the way as far as color goes, I believe the Rams will be wearing all yellow. Yuck. All in all this should be an appalling game, but maybe Aaron Donald will do something awesome.

This game has all the appeal of a tuna sandwich left out in the sun. The only winner will be those who don't watch it.

Red Zone is killing ratings. You can spend 3 hours watching all the good stuff from more than half of the games early Sunday afternoon in real time and see who's close to scoring, and all the TDs and significant plays on steroids and focus on the closest, best games, or your own team. Fewer games in the afternoon, but still good stuff.
When a single game is on, it's often a crap matchup, poor announcers, crap play, all dead time, you're stuck with ads, and not close.

NFL Network's Good Morning Football was covering it like it was Super Bowl. That show is awful & I would kill myself if I worked there having to prepare hours of copy on filler.

Wesley Crusher to the bridge - how about some predictions? Are SF gonna score 40+ points?
We need a drystyx substitute.

Stadium seems a bit light on attendance. I see a fair amount of empty seats. But then again, Thursday night games aren't always stadium-stuffers anyway.

This game is better than expected. I mean, it's entertaining with some goofy turnovers. The Rams are leading by two TDs late in 3rd quarter, 34-20. The hapless 49ers actually managed to score their first two touchdowns of the season.

Turned out to be a great game! It shows that you can never discount NFL Football before the game is played, just because the two teams seem bad.
