This game has all the appeal of a tuna sandwich left out in the sun. The only winner will be those who don't watch it. Great game. Looks like you were the loser.

Niners got screwed there. Their receiver was mugged in the end-zone earlier with no call but they call that a penalty with the game on the line?

Yes, very weak call, if there was a penalty it was barely noticeable, and it robbed the 49ers of a notable effort. It looks like the NFL wants a team to succeed in the LA market.

Bush offensive pass interference call. Missed xp cost the Niners.

It was actually pretty entertaining. Loved seeing Todd Gurley have a breakout game. Those uniforms were painful though. Who likes any of the color rush uniforms? Do "the kids" they are supposed to appeal to even watch football?

So all I missed were two terrible teams that couldn't stop the other from scoring all game long? This was like a little league game where the final score is like 18-15. It wasn't Kurt Warner's Rams over Joe Montana's 49ers.

I know high school recruits say uniforms often play at least a small part in their decision of where to go to college. That's why they started doing those horrible Adidas one game college uniforms several years ago. They are awful but the players usually love them. I always figured that's why the nfl did the wretched color rush things. To try and draw in millennials. The throwback nfl jerseys always look a lot better than the color rush crap. I'm sure there are some exceptions though but I can't think of any color rush uniforms that looked good.

The defenses were solid. First pass by Hoyer was picked at the 28 and returned to the 3. The long pass to Watson was defended well but he made a Willy Mays over-the-top catch. Both defenses caused and recovered fumbles (Niners got 2 recoveries). If you didn't already know how the teams were before the game, you'd have thought both teams were pretty good. Might not be a moral victory for SF, but they are better than we thought. Sounds like an Aesopian case of the Fox & the Grapes.

This game was extremely entertaining. That's a consensus among everybody who watched, including fans and commentators. I'm not saying that these teams are any good. I'm just saying that the game was entertaining. All sorts of stuff happened.

Sports board Frank Sobotka is as curmudgeony as the wire version.

Just wanna say how hilarious it is that someone withdrew their original San Francisco pick from the poll and voted Los Angeles... AFTER the game.
