Really a very sad news about Deano. He was among most famous cricket analyst in India so I am sure his death is being mourned by millions away from his home. To die so young in this age is tragic. Feel for the family and friends.

Between this and the recent death of my sister who had a 75% blockage in her heart which caused a blood clot, I encourage all of you if you experience chest tightness, shortness of breath, fatigue etc to get your hearts checked.

I thought of writing the same. About 2 years back one of my friend who was 32 had died of cardiac arrest. I request everyone to take care. If you have high cholesterol level then better get checked and run/jog a bit to make things right.

Cummins is bowling superbly in the desert! Hey hoskotafe3 Is Australian borders open to the outsiders at the moment? I just realised that I have Australian PR so I can return. Not decided but I am contemplating my options given how Corona has disrupted my plans and put me back by a year.

You can definitely request an exemption from travel restrictions as a Permanent Resident. At the moment arrivals in are limited and capped for each state. You lived in Victoria if I remember correctly and I'm not sure what their situation is.

If I returned it would most likely be to NSW as finance related jobs are mostly available in Sydney. Will definitely not return without first securing a full-time job and I seriously doubt I can easily get a job during this pandemic environment. But I still see it as option.

Honestly, I was disappointed that CA chose Justin Langer as head coach over Gillespie. Then again, knowing the kind of stiffs that reside in the corridors of CA and also the even stiffer stiffs that lurk around the NSWCA - no chance they’d select someone like Gillespie....

I wonder if England considered him as head coach. One of my favourite JG stories. Because of his looks - with his hair, his Satan face fuzz and all round Gypsy fizzog - he was constantly being taunted by The Barmy Army with a song about "Where's your caravan, where's your caravan?" When prompted later on the tour he was quizzed about it and totally oblivious he said "what they on about, I don't have a caravan!" Amazing he turned out to be a great coach really... Joking apart, injury robbed Oz of many more wickets, a great bowler with a beautiful action. I shook his hand at Edgbaston once!

The Mankad is the most ridiculous part of cricket. How on earth anybody can call it “unsportsmanlike” is completely beyond me. The batsman is literally cheating, and the bowler is performing a totally legal act in dismissing the batsman. And yet, somehow, the bowler is in the wrong, and the non striker is to be given a warning ? What ? Why ? Now, I have a thought as to why. The truth is, cricket has long been beholden to this stupid idea that more runs and higher scores = better cricket. And this comes primarily (but not exclusively) from India. So all new interpretations of laws in the game and changes to the game favour batsmen. Every single time.

ABD is still the best batsman in the world in the shorter format. Pity he didn't play the WC.
He is far greater player than his record suggests. The best of post Sachin, Lara and Ponting generation.

Royals bowled him some absolute pies though, especially Unadkat. Slowish cutters (that don’t cut) on middle just back of a length ? They got exactly what they deserved. RR should’ve kept Padikkal out there. He was struggling to middle anything.

I have no idea why India keeps producing these utterly slow medium pacers. With good scouting and training you can always get fast bowlers in any country. People like Jadhav and Undatkat piss me off.
