I'm tying up the tally for the alien. I do mean the creature from "Alien" as I think the hive concept in "Aliens" (while fun) diluted some of the mystery. Treating "Alien" as a standalone, you really don't get to know much about the creature itself (from intelligence, breeding, etc) which is what made the creature interesting to me.
I like the Predator as well, but sometimes he's a bit overpowered. Like a cosmic mandibled James Bond...the right toy for any situation. A Predator-style tech-guy like Bond's "Q" would be interesting to see...

but out of all of the movies the only ones ill re-watch are... Alien (1979) and Predator 2 (1990). "Alien" is a no-brainer for the good movies list, but I thought I was the only one who dug "Predator 2." I think it overall gets a flogging it doesn't deserve. There was nobody who could have followed in an Arnold-style performance (except maybe Stallone at the time), so I liked that they took a departure and made Danny Glover's character more sleuth than macho man. The invisibility and creature effects also don't get the credit they deserve...it's a really good looking film. For me, it's in the same league as the first. "Predator 2" is near the top of my list of movies I enjoy that many of my friends think is crap.

kingkoopahonestly, i don't even like the first movie anymore even though years ago i used to consider it clearly better than the second movie. basically i re-watched Predator (1987) in March 2015 and then re-watched Predator 2 (1990) in Aug 2015. the first movie i no longer enjoy (as of that March 2015 viewing) watching unlike the second movie which i still do.
