well, I'm not a comic or DC-fan (read the last one before hitting puberty a while ago) but that assessment of yours deems me to be pretty bad, dude - esp considering the exorbitant success of WW (a female led origin CMB beating all other origin movies) and the even more incredible success the Suicide Dreck (despite the latter's dubious quality on Hulk turd level). People just want to see fresh faces after decades of the same characters; MCU just came and delivered. Apart from this, DC is iconic since ever unlike Marvel which is a mere upstart. And let's discuss DCEU's merits after only 4 movies vis-a-vis 16+ MCU movies, shall we? (remember this comes from an innocent bystander, not a DC fan) Last but not least, MCU will never claw back the Fox-Men, and that is an unrelated yet deeply encouraging and rewarding parting thought. You have the right to accept your defeat by remaining silent ...send Colden my regards. The MCU doesn't need X-men. They've made $12.6 billion at the box office becoming the highest grossing movie franchise ever without them. They have Iron Man, Hulk, Thor, Captain America, Black Panther, The Avengers, Ant-man, Spider-man, Guardians of the Galaxy, Doctor Strange and Captain Marvel. They won't lose any sleep by not having one other property. Don't bother with Tristan. He completely ignores that BvS was nominated for four razzies in his awards ramblings.

Fox has mostly been a disaster with X-men and Fantastic Four. They've somehow managed to screw up these legendary characters Laughable statement. Fox has only been a "disaster" with X-Men origins Wolverine out of the 10 X-based films, which had a very negative critical reception but still had a WW gross greater than X1 and First Class. Then you can make a claim for Apocalypse with at the very worst was a mixed reception yet still did over $500M WW. Stop trying to put your own biased spin on it, the rest are far from "disaster" as you can get. Fan4stic is z certified flop.

Not in the least, the X-Movies have constantly shafted any X-Character who isn't Xavier, Logan and Magneto. Mystique only got focus because she's played by Jennifer Lawrence and she's nothing but blue Katniss. And success they have now is just fading goodwill from the old days of X1 and X2, and those movies only did well because they had no competition.

I noticed you left out all the characters Fox has somehow managed to completely screw up. They had access to some of the very best comic characters ever written and they managed to blow it time and time again. I also notice you bragged on a "gross greater than X1 and First Class" and left out that Fox lags far behind Marvel, WB, and even Sony in box office achievements. Again...the only movie they ever produced that got above 250 domestic was Deadpool. And they barely cared about that one...giving it a small budget and letting Reynolds and Miller do it their way. Very telling that the one movie they didn't care about is the one the public liked the most. So yeah...it's been a disaster. How do you have the rights to the X-men and FF characters and lag so far behind the other studios at the box office? FF are comic legends and the X-men are the most popular comic post 70s. Yet Fox somehow can't get the public to care about them. They turned the X-men into Wolverine and Friends and that's not a disaster? Are we not supposed to notice what they did to Dark Phoenix, Dr Doom, Galactus, Rogue, Storm, Silver Surfer, and Cyclops? Fox is a trainwreck who have wasted more great characters than any studio I can think of. People complain about WB wasting Green Lantern and Superman lately....they've got NOTHING on Fox. Maybe things will change at Fox now that Jackman is gone and they will be forced to rely on real stories instead of just typing out one Logan story after another with all his angst. They even somehow managed to make Dark Phoenix all about him instead of it being about Jean and Scott. Their literary rape of the Fantastic Four will live in infamy for generations. The biggest joke there is that they are still trying to make more of those! It's a bad joke of a studio when it comes to comic book movies. Well, it is a pretty big deal considering that MCU still hasn't made a superhero movie with a female lead after 9 years and 17 movies. And MCU is only making Captain Marvel as a reaction to WB announcing a Wonder Woman movie first. Thank god Marvel isn't reacting to the social justice warrior campaign of political pressure.

Peter, May and Toomes were still white. Liz and Flash are the only ones who were changed, and no one cared because Queens IS that diverse. Anyways, not making everyone white isn't bad.

Well which is it? Is WB the "progressive" studio that is out there crusading for the SJW movement or it is Marvel? When the Marvel movies start replacing characters in favor of SJW versions, I'll buy that they jumped onboard that ship. That would be something like "Miles Morales" replacing the Spider-Man character. The cast of SMH looked like the citizens of Queens to me.

Edited to add: that was also, not coincidentally whatsoever, the exact instant that I stopped giving them any money for comic books. After buying them with varying degrees of regularity for about twenty-five years.

Changing characters, rebooting storylines, and too many titles just makes it impossible to follow.

Hopefully not, though.
