Dawkins, Time's Up, cool it with the blasphemous remarks.
The formatting got all messed up along the way. I have tried to sort it, but meh, I don't know if I can... If you boys use Jesus' and Allah's name as swearwords, I thought I'd do the same with your leader... (Allah simply is the Arabic word for God, most atheists don't seem to know that)
Doesn't have any impact though. It just sounds stupid.

Thanks for fixing that. One questions whether Wesboro Baptist Church would actually commit terrorist attacks if they had the power, or whether they refrain from doing so due to being a very small group. Meh, that's up to you, WBC are a media/atheist creation anyway

Yikes. The spread of the autocratic mind-parasite "Islam" doesn't bode well for secular humanism, civil rights, gay rights, women's rights, religious freedom, common law, or Western civilization in general as it is inherently incompatible with all of those things.
Gonna be a fun century!

Thanks for fixing that. One questions whether Wesboro Baptist Church would actually commit terrorist attacks if they had the power, or whether they refrain from doing so due to being a very small group. Meh, that's up to you, WBC are a media/atheist creation anyway Incorrect; I live within a 100 mile radius of WBC, I have been to funerals that they protested at and I went to a viewing of the AIDS Quilt in their home area of Topeka, Kansas. I had to cross a picket line of venomous shouting people who told everyone that their loved ones were burning in hell. Their posters were silhouettes depicting sex acts. Children were exposed to this hideous spectacle, and there were trained psychologists inside to help the viewers deal with the trauma.
And, to answer mic, I think they could easily go over the edge into terrorist acts since their 'protests' border on terrorism. No, no one gets shot. But I experienced terror while crossing their picket line, and if they had more members (it's basically just one extended family) and weren't so rooted to their physical location, I think they would be doing much more. They have been less in the news since Fred Phelps died, and hopefully their 'church' is on the wane.

"Let's say Christianity is a nasty strain of pneumonia, but Islam is MRSA (methecillin resistant staphelococcus aureus). There is a range of 'antibiotics' which are still effective in curing Christianity - i.e. education, science, wealth. However, none of these 'antibiotics' seem to be having an effect on Islam."
I had to fix that; influenza is a virus and antibiotics have no effect on viruses. Just to make the analogy work. But it is a good analogy for the two mainstream religions.
Now, Radical Islam is a whole 'nuther animal... like the Andromeda Strain. And, to be fair, the Christians, during the Crusades and the Holy Inquisition, were just as brutal towards other religions, especially Islam, as they carried on a Christian 'jihad'. And there are still small groups of radical Christians that would be just as nasty as radical Islamists, but there aren't enough of them to mount an attack. Westboro Baptist Church comes to mind.
Thanks for fixing that. One questions whether Wesboro Baptist Church would actually commit terrorist attacks if they had the power, or whether they refrain from doing so due to being a very small group. You are welcome; I became interested in infectious disease some years ago, so I read a lot of stuff that most people don't.
And, as I said in a reply to afeena's post: And, to answer mic, I think they could easily go over the edge into terrorist acts since their 'protests' border on terrorism. No, no one gets shot. Gonna be a fun century! Bigoted claims without evidence! Woo! Without EVIDENCE? I defy you to find a shred of evidence to the contrary. This is a statement of fact, not a "claim" of any kind. That you called it bigoted reflects your ignorance, lack of education, and moral relativism.

That doesn't change the fact that the WBC comprise one extended family, who exist and do what they do because atheists and the media love them, and give them the oxygen of publicity. They are no more a real Christian church than Scientology is ...
