Then I must ask why you are attempting to describe women on a "biological" level.

@mellomoviereview
So basically you like to throw things into a pot, give them a stir and see if they bubble over ?

I agree if a woman and a man are doing the same job, they should get equal pay. I agree that women are capable of being a leader. That being said, there is a difference in believing women and men should be socially equal (in a society) and biologically equal. In the real world each species has a male and a female counterpart. They even use the term male when describing the more dominate sex. This is just how nature works. Human beings are no different. before a full response, I wanted to get a clarification: what do you mean by "being socially equal"? Can you give me some examples of that please? Thanks.

I agree if a woman and a man are doing the same job, they should get equal pay. For the same job men and women do get pay the same. But on average men do make more on women and there is a simple reason for this. It`s because men generally works in higher paying jobs than women. … so according to you, may I ask, that is a valid and universally applicable statement based on facts and verifiable reality?

Same. People are not wolf packs. We do not function like animal packs, never have. Here in the 21st century, we seriously need to move past "might makes right." Even might makes right wouldn't explain it. I'm a lardy 48 year old couch potato. Half the women out there could probably take me in a fight if it came down to it! In basic animal nature, what do women do during sex? At the end of the day, women submit their bodies to men who penetrate them. It's just the way we are created in nature.

Actually, it's because women are overlooked for promotions to those higher paying jobs. Studies also show men make more than women even in what many would consider women dominant employment positions.

Not met that many women, huh? mello claims to be a psychiatrist. Its true. Said he has his Postgraduate in Psychology, yet nothing he's ever said reflects that, or any, kind of education. Like poelzig, he's probably some inbred Southern hick. That's a hell of claim...it starts being suspicious with postgraduate work in psychology making one a psychiatrist. A psychiatrist is a medical doctor.

Keep reading i did, my question remains. care to answer it? just to be clear, I am interested in this statement of yours " For the same job men and women do get pay the same"The rest of your post didnt change it, it just expanded on the overall l subject but did not contradict the first statement you made. Just interested in what makes you say " For the same job men and women do get pay the same" and why you find it valid.

I disagree. Apart from there being multiple species where females are dominant like bees, ants, elephants, wales, hyenas and Meerkats the only person I am submissive to is my Wifey and she is the dominant one in our relationship and has always been dominant since we were kids and when I was dating guys they knew who was in charge. What was funny was watching how some of them were like on my Aunt and Uncle's farm 'cause they were pretty hopeless but they were city slickers.

I would suspect it's the norm that is true (otherwise many places wouldn't hire men when women could be paid less.) Sadly, it's not true nor the norm. Women do earn less than men, even for the same jobs. While it would seem to make sense to just hire women to pay them less, at the same time, a lot of places think men do a better job and would rather hire them.

I would suspect it's the norm that is true (otherwise many places wouldn't hire men when women could be paid less.) i am glad its true by your employer. it certainly should be like that everywhere. however it is not. the motivation for hiring a man even though it could cost more could be multiple. men, for example, can be perceived as being more productive/ ruthless/ result-oriented/ willing to give it more than a woman would/ better at some jobs than women/ or simply just "better perceived in the job than women". it particularly goes for women in the world of technology. men are often automatically perceived as understanding it better than woman. to be fair, i do believe men and women are different. to me that doesn't mean a bad thing. they are not better or worse as humans. just different.
