In other words, one of the earliest 'serious' films, not specifically geared for children, that you remember not only watching, but also enjoying ?? SAVE FERRIS

The first one that I remember seeing was See No Evil, Hear No Evil. I always liked that movie.

I'm an old fart, so I honestly can't remember if I saw The Poseidon Adventure or a James Bond triple feature of Dr. No, From Russia with Love & Goldfinger first. All I remember is that I saw all of those at the drive-in with my folks and loved all of them. (Though only being 8 or 9, I fell asleep during Dr. No as it didn't start until about midnight).

i'm not really connecting with the question. did you persons only have interest in films that you knew were targeting at children when you were young?

Either Speed or Jurassic Park. One of the big ones from the early 1990s.

The Birds. I saw it on NBC Movie of the Week in the late '60s, when I was about five (I had lots of older siblings, so I was exposed to a lot of adult stuff, even that Dick Cavett VD special, as a kid.) I enjoyed it at the time and I even thought it was kind of funny.

Malcolm X. Even though when I saw it at the theater, I was in the front row.
