Wowzers, 12 centuries in one week, that may not be beaten all season. A 150 for myself again, that definitely will be beaten numerous times. Father Jack scores big as well with 140. Also continuing his good recent form is Mr Furious with 130, and Tunaman09 also bangs in a 130 to ease his relegation worries. And congrats to everyone else who also hit triple digits this week! | P | | Name | Current round | Overall score | | 1 | | Stan.the.Man | 150 | 660 | | 2 | | who_ru | 140 | 560 | | 3 | | FCMini | 100 | 540 | | 4 | | Weststigersbob | 110 | 530 | | 5 | | MrFurious | 130 | 520 | | | zxawxc | 120 | 520 | | 7 | | Painbow | 90 | 510 | | 8 | | staggerstag | 70 | 480 | | 9 | | Dirty-Barry | 130 | 470 | | 10 | | Woody's Wonders | 90 | 450 | | 11 | | AJ-June | 90 | 440 | | | Runie | 100 | 440 | | 13 | | sdm3 | 70 | 430 | | 14 | | Allelia | 50 | 420 | | | Fr. Looks like some tricky fixtures next. Please remember to do your predictions, been a great effort all round so far! Next game is Saturday 12.30pm BST.

My aim is to stay in touching distance then have an epic weekend where I blow the 200 points door wide open.

Well I'm not taking anything for granted, I was struggling all the way into November last season, so I know how easily the wheels can fall off at any point in this game. It is essentially a race to about 3,500 points, which I think will be enough to win, so anyone could get there first over the next 32 weeks.

one or two amazing week for me is needed as painbow states. i go for long shot bets on scores and normally win approx 2 a year and i mirror that with my predictions on here (which could be 4 correct scores, so its possible) but your consistency is pretty effing good , ya bstard

And my heart keeps ruling my head over palace - which has probably cost me quite a bit.
But exceptional group week all the same.

Not easy to do as you need a lot of things to go your way, but someone will get there I think, I just hope it isn't one of the 5 forum deserters who achieves it because it will look a bit silly when I have to ignore it.

I don't want to move my lazy ass and go out of my comfort zone of IMDB v2 to search so here's the question. When do the week 7 matches take place? I don't want to lessen my already small chances of winning this EPL contest like I did by missing out this week's CL contest.

Crystal Palace are gonna put in a performance and get a shock win at some point. I'm hoping it's not against United.
They can save it for Chelsea after the next (annoying) international break.

Can't see Palace doing anything to be honest, even with the trip to Moscow for United. At best, they might, they might just have a narrow 1 or 2 goal loss.
It is Southampton-Stoke & especially Everton-Burnley that is giving me this terrible feeling in my gut that I've gone the wrong way.

My aim is to not make an arse of myself, punch out some good results and finish top half. So Basically I'm hoping to be West Brom. I'm under no allusions to being a contender against you lot of Brits, especially considering I can watch exactly 1 game a week......

Albeit, this is only the 2nd season of this particular contest. And remember guys, we kick off soon, so please get those predictions done.

I'm under no allusions to being a contender against you lot of Brits, especially considering I can watch exactly 1 game a week...... You have been doing well and can win this competition. Manly Stanly was no where in picture last season till Christmas but he turned around in the second half. Though to his credit even after disappointing first half he was confident that he could turn around and win. And I won the CL contest last season so non-brits can compete. It's more about making good educated guesses than being knowledgeable about the game. Though I agree that more knowledgeable Brits have better capability of making more educated guesses.

yeah you can use systems - my advice is over the period of the season many 2-1's will happen and with certain teams at certain times many 1-0's or 0-1's
so if you stick to a system you will do ok. also if you then evaluate form into the equation after about 15 -20 games and work of the average goals scored away and at home with certain factors included you will do decently - so without watching the games you can use stats. I do an excel spread sheet for betting with about 15 factors and i paste the table(from espn) with gs, ga, points total, points away , points home with different factors applied and it just predicts for me .
I wasnt posting for a bit last year and gave up after crimbo so there is no saying what i would have done - but at that point with stat evaluation over prejudice and heart you will probally do better anyway.

Personally, I just go with the eye test, how well organised a team has looked recently, particularly in defence, do they look like a threat attacking wise, on the counter, with pace or set pieces etc, then just try and visualise how many goals they can score against each other. Like Southampton for example, I thought they played really well last week, dominated large sections, they lost but it was a good enough display to make me think they can narrowly beat Stoke away this week, when probably ordinarily I might have gone for the Stoke home win or maybe a draw.
Obviously that doesn't really help much if you don't get to watch a lot of football, in which case I'd probably just try and interpret the stats any which way I can, or just guess! Some of the games are gimmes, some are tricky, getting those tricky games right regularly, just getting 10 points from those games about half the time will add up.
And get the 10 points enough, and the juicy 40s will come along.
