im not saying i think it sucks, i have not even seen it yet, im just looking at the scores on RT
Man of Steel 55% (303 reviews)
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice 27% (367 reviews)
Suicide Squad 25% (319 reviews)
Wonder Woman 92% (343 reviews)
so aside from Gal Gadots body, what did WW have that the rest of the DCEU did not?

Artistically, it may well be the most competently written CBM there is. It does not just pander to children and comic book nerds but also to a grown-up demographic (especially women) by seting out human drama & error, the horrors of war and classic storytelling (without focus on clobber action). This may likely make it less entertaining and fun than other CMBs for some, but a lot more valuable piece of filmmaking for others. WW also has a nice message from a naive antaginist realizing that the world is not as black-and-white as she thought.
The most classically written CMB so far. If you have contact with women watch it with them, you will see what I mean.

Well personally I thought Man of Steel was better but Wonder Woman was definitely better than the other two.
It flowed a lot better, it had the chance to just be its own movie. The big flaw with Batman vs Superman was that it just tried to do way too much, between bringing them together, having Lex, Wonder Woman and Doomsday, having cameos from other heroes and having plot points to lead to future movies it ended up a mess.
Wonder Woman didn't do that which is pretty refreshing for these kind of movies now.

Again I have been to the trenches and the no mans land scene does take a piss on the millions who actually died there. The message was quite thin and no deeper than Thor who went through the exact same journey. And I saw it together with my wife who was very excited for this movie and she was utterly dissapointed by the film afterwards. To flat and not so cool as she hoped for.

it wasn't really great. it was good. it had one really cool action scene and a few legitimate laughs. Gal looks badass in the costume.

But thats just me... what was wrong with my avatar? it did not give me the impression of a particularly attractive man, at least from a classical perspective. In fact WW would probably refer to it as "hideous". Also, which adds insult to injury, X-Box and MCU-fans have a persisting reputation of being veritable female repellants (very effective ones at that). But in the end these are all unwarranted stereotypes, the basement dwelling manbaby gamer reading comic books will naturally die out with ArArArchStanton and the weird bronyraptor...

XBOX and MCU fans? Hilarious. Half the DCEU idiots in here seem to be 15 year olds. Also, Playstation seems to be the console of the young. In my personal experience, more adults play XBOX.

Well first BVS did have Gal's body, second Suicide Squad had Margot Robbie's, so that's a draw.
But what happened was MOS tried to be daring and provide a different take to Superman which some loved others did not, MOS though got a rotten on the tomato-meter actually scored an average rating of over 6/10 to show how pointless the tomato-meter is, WW btw got 7.6 the same as SMH and lower than several other CBM's.
So yeah MOS tried to be different, BVS tried to cram basically an entire "phase" of set up into a single film, plus re-enact two classic comic storylines, Dark Knight Returns & Death Of Superman, pretend like Lois had a purpose in this story, as well as introduce Lex Luthor but again they would try and be unique this time to a utterly disastrous result, Suicide Squad after BVS's poor reception was recut by a trailer company because the music videos for lack of a better description they put out as trailers for SS got a good reaction, again this did not go over well.
In the end WW played it safe, kept itself self contained, wasn't monkeyed with and also had expectations set pretty low despite many having high hopes, the result a perfect storm for WW to step up and shine.

i think people just saw them as trying to out do marvel? if BVS came before the MCU, mabey people would be crapping on the MCU?

If there was one thing I liked most about Wonder Woman, it's the chemistry between Diana and Steve Trevor. Their great chemistry is what makes the movie so good.

It wasn't great, it was competent and mediocre. It's just that coming after the rest of the DCEU's incompetence it got an artificial boost of seeming like some modern classic.

It's just that coming after the rest of the DCEU's incompetence it got an artificial boost of seeming like some modern classic. i got scared, i thought there was a post from you that does not include " artificial boost", "Ashamed of comics" or the other 2-3 things you keep writing in order to find justification for critics liking a superhero movie that's not part of the MCU. You didn't like it? fine, enjoy Thor 2 or Antman or some other crap like Dr Strange
