Thank you for sharing this, mszanadu. Since I'm not exactly the night owl I used to be, I'll have to PVR what I want to watch. If I recall, TCM Underground didn't do much a horror movie run last October. So this will make up for it. You're most welcome Dramatic Look Gopher . The DVR is the way to go when either pressed for time in our daily lives or just can't stay up that late - definitely the smartest way to go as well . Thankfully it appears this film program is only on once a week - late Saturday nights so for the rest of us crazy daring folks who will stay up till dawn we can just sleep in a bit later than usual . Also that's so sad this Underground program last year had a bit of slim pickings for films . So I guess I didn't miss anything important back then . Thanks Dramatic Look Gopher for your reply .

This is a non sequitur, but how often does "Head" pop up? I remember watching this with some friends late at night, shortly after its release on VHS. We took a smoke break in the backyard when my dog needed a potty break. Discussing what we'd seen up to this point (I think it's best to go in cold on this movie), we were interrupted by a gargoyle-sized owl 'hoo-ing' at us from the trees above. I freaked out and ran into a nearby tree. Was stoned enough to laugh it off but woke up the next morning with a good shiner. Anyway, "Head" is a fond memory for me and it doesn't come up too often...so ya know, I had to tell my owl story Thanks mszanadu You're most welcome kingkoopa . Also thanks so much for sharing this awesome owl story as well ( " a gargoyle-sized owl 'hoo-ing' at us " - that is so excellent ! ) . It's too bad you didn't grab a photo of that wonderfully large critter at that moment . It would have been so cool to put up a giant owl pic on the wall right next to a movie poster for the 1968 film HEAD . It could have been a definite conversational setup piece with your fine story for guests to see in your home too . Thanks kingkoopa for your reply .

I have The Brood on MGM DVD. I'm most looking forward to watching Willard. I've never seen it before, but known about it since I was a child. Headd, I've never even heard of it, but I like The Monkees reruns and I absolutely love another "musical adventure movie", The Apple (1980). The Brood (1979) I so agree here atomicfrog this fine Canadian film is definitely worth having for the Home DVD Library too . I never tire of this one either . The film HEAD from 1968 is very similar to the The Monkees (TV series) it's fun , zany , comedic , and has a lot of great songs as well as some dance numbers too ( I have both TV Series and Movie on DVD ) . Thanks so much atomicfrog for your reply and for this other movie recommendation that I have not seen or heard of either The Apple from 1980 it looks like a good one too .
