Can't think of a lot of cons. Please note, SPOILERS.
But pros would be the execution of the fight scenes, I imagine it's what every fan envisioned reading the comic books. Brutal, gory, unrelenting. The emotion running throughout, it manages to convey the sense of sorrow and dread without being too sentimental. The soundtrack, just the right balance. Also, the acting, it's phenomenal. Patrick Stewart should be nominated for an Oscar for his performance.
Several cons/niggles would be the brief glimpse of nudity, if I were being picky that is. It seemed like it was just there to get a mention in the MPAA rating. But I suppose the scene made sense considering the job position Logan had taken up. Drunks acting accordingly I suppose.
Also in the second act when X-23 stopped being mute, she snapped out of it after going through so much and suddenly speaking didn't seem to phase her. I thought maybe some consistency throughout those parts and X-23 could've gone back to being mute again temporarily for Logan to quip something like "Ah, so you're not talking anymore, s'that how it is?".

Honestly, it's going to be hard for any film this year to top it for me. It was a very personal story, and you don't find that too often in comic book movies of this nature.
This has really been a surprisingly good time for movies in general, considering that the first quarter of the year is usually a pretty dead season for movies. However, in less than three months alone we've gotten an actual decent Shyamalan film in years with "Split", a surprisingly good horror thriller with "Get Out", a genuinely great action sequel with "John Wick: Chapter 2", and now arguably the best stand-alone X-Men film to date with "Logan". I'm just wondering if the rest of the year can actually live up to it, but we're off to a great start right now, all things considered.

I agree-brilliant performance by Hugh Jack man in particular, who has been a triumph in the iconic Wolverine role over the past 17 years

[...] I liked the movie and I like the actress that played X-23. However, the pitch of X-23's voice when she first started talking was like nails on a chalkboard. Maybe it was because she was holding back so much dialog throughout the movie and let it loose in a long burst. Afterwards, her voice didn't annoy me.

I've seen it a second time yesterday and I enjoyed it more. Things that bothered me the first time (Reavers were basically useless, no threat at all, even Pearce; What did Xavier do exactly?; Why on earth did they think they could stay at that farm?), didn't bother me as much anymore. Except for one thing, that still bothers me to no end: (SPOILERS) Why on earth would they give a ten year old (or was she younger? About that age, I guess) an adamantium skeleton? It's a metal, it won't grow along with her, so she's doomed to, very soon, live a hellish existence. Nobody considers that to be a problem? I could have missed something, but it's quite odd. Other than that, I have to say I like the movie. The best of the Wolverine movies and X-Men movies. Due to the gore and R-rating, definitely so, Wolverine alays was bloody, and it was fun to see Xavier curse like that
