Domestically.
In North America's Domestic Box Office "It" is now 60M dollars away from passing "Spider-Man: Homecoming".
With a haul of 30M in it's 3rd weekend of release, it should easily gain 60M before it's domestic run ends.
Wow, an 'R' rated Horror film is going to be more profitable than a PG kid friendly MCU Spidey film in North America. I never thought I'd see the day.

Should IT be classified as a Horror film? It wasn't scary and wasn't as gorey as I wanted it to be. Don't get me wrong, I loved the film! But I saw it more as a Adventure-Thriller film.

I know it's too early, but I secretly and now officially hope that there is some light at the end of the long CBM tunnel.
It's time for something new, maybe thrillers and/or horror. Some adult blockbusters. Some suspense instead the constant kiddy fare.
CBMs must adapt, Logan showed the way.

Don't get be wrong, I certainly enjoy CBM (and Logan is probably still my favorite film this year) but I would love to see more adult oriented blockbusters.

Could do or it could not, horror's tend to have huge drop off's after a few weeks, Conjuring was the biggest recent success to go off of and they had less a decline week to week than It did, even though they made $114m in their first 3 weeks in the following 12 they only took in an additional $23m.
It's higher drop off could kill it's momentum, though with Halloween coming up It may get a good boost in a few weeks, but whilst $60 is possible it's not easy by any means.

I missed the action and horror films of the 80's.

Is he really a brony? Or are you just calling him that just to piss him off? no, true story. I did not even know what Bronies were before the raptor plagued IMDb. Well, he claims he was a Brony only for a short time a few years ago. Technically, a Brony is someone who is into the 2000 series and goes to conventions, but the raptor is into this stuff since ever and adores the early Pony stuff that is considered unwatchable for homo sapiens older than 6. He is the author of the My Little Pony Chronicles, and he is active in the My Little Pony Lexicon (Pink version of this forum see link). I think the other Bronies just hated his guts (who could blame them considering his bully halfwit meltdown charms) and just kicked him out, there were several on IMDb who passionately loathed and despised him (calling him the "asswipe") Evidence: www.imdb.com/user/ur2267715/tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Fanfic/MyLittlePonyChronicleswww.fanfiction.net/u/2808409/WeirdRaptormlplexicon.proboards.com/user/66/recent

"beh" is not a word. Swan Song implies quality since Greek mythology and Shakespeare ("I will play the swan, / And die in music"). "Nothing more" is still better than any MCU movie.

Beh is up there with "Meh", "Bah" or "Guh", it's earned a place in language. Swan Song in this context merely means "Last time doing the role", and "Nothing more" isn't better than any MCU movie mainly for Logan continuing to not provide any innovation. It tried to substitute content with blood, gore and swearing. A common lazy tactic.

Yeah, but "The Conjuring" didn't make 30M it's 3rd weekend in release. No it made $13m but it also started off lower and had less drop off per week than what It did, if It continues to decline as it has week to week it maybe able to make another $60m but maybe not, if it continues to drop off at it's current pace by the 1st week of Nov it would only earn an additional $36m give or take and then meander after at around or less than $1m a week, which wont be enough to hit $60m.
Obviously it could do it if it's drop off shrinks or if it gets a surge thanks to Halloween, but then this is when you see more horror flicks come out to compete with It in the market which could shrink it's audience even more, hence my point $60m could be possible but wont be easy given the genre & upcoming releases.

To be concerned about being grown up, to admire the grown up because it is grown up, to blush at the suspicion of being childish; these things are the marks of childhood and adolescence. And in childhood and adolescence they are, in moderation, healthy symptoms. Young things ought to want to grow. But to carry on into middle life or even into early manhood this concern about being adult is a mark of really arrested development. When I was ten, I read fairy tales in secret and would have been ashamed if I had been found doing so. Now that I am fifty I read them openly. When I became a man I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up.” ― C.S. Lewis

Get back to me when it passes Homecoming in the International market. Of course you would turn even this into an MCU vs. Whatever contest. You basically have no life outside of trying to dream up ways for other films to one-up the series. This guy claimed to be a psychiatrist, people.
