Are you on drugs or something? That show was actually very, very good. Especially the first 5 seasons I was thinking the same thing. WTH is wrong with these people?!?! Apparently they never went running thru the grass trying to be like Mary, Laura, or Carrie, or ....Jack, or...Bandit. And never had a thing for Michael Landon(this was of course when I was older). They don't know great tv. I can honestly tell you i have never had a thing for Michael Landon. I have done the running throught the grass but i was not trying to be Mary, Laura, Carrie, Jack or Bandit I think one problem with Little House on the prairie is that when it goes bad it goes really bad. I personally would say that the first 4 seasons was great and the fifth one was good but after that it just goes downhill in my opinion.

Oh come on, the Honeymooners? Watch the one where Ralph sends a hate letter to his boss, transcribed by Norton, "you dirty bum, yours truly etc. etc." It is obvious she is watching these shows with 2017in her mindset. You can't bring today into shows like this and Little House on the Prairie.

If anyone puts Gillian's Island on this no one will ever find you. NEVER heard of it. Is it a female version of 'Gilligan's Island'?

I didn't like 'The Honeymooners' when I saw it for the first time in the early 90s on Galaxy either and my Aunt hates it and calls it one of the most sexist TV shows of all time and she likes a lot of old TV shows like I Love Lucy, That Girl, Gidget, Green Acres, I Dream of Jeanie, Gilligan's Island, the Doris Day Show, Petticoat Junction, The Patty Duke Show, Mr Ed and Hazel and I used to watch a lot of them with her and loved the Mary Tyler Moore Show, Charlie's Angels and the Patridge Family.

You should add Inhumans to the list. Just 4% on RT. Yeah. I heard that is supposed to be really bad which is a shame 'cause I liked Serinda Swan as Zatanna in 'Smallville' and was looking forward to seeing her play another superhero again. They should get her back to play Zatanna in Supergirl, the Flash or Arrow 'cause Zatanna could be really good in one of those shows.

Well, this thread (which you created) isn't talking about your aunt's preferences, but yours. Funny how you mention your dislike for the sexist Honeymooners but like the triple-sexist Lucy show. Alice was outspoken when it came to Ralph's macho crap and rarely needed Trixie's help, something Lucy needed from Ethyl all the time. Alice often schooled Ralph on his behaviors. Lucy pulled her crazy stunts and then 'ehhhhh'ed her way home.

If anyone puts Gillian's Island on this no one will ever find you. How popular was the show outside the US? Pretty sure it was never shown (and if it was never repeated) in the UK - it's one of those strange situations where you know about something through it's pop culture references rather than actually watching them (a bit like The Three Stooges)

No pop culture reference needed. I watched it back when TBS was The Superstation and aired the shows 5 minutes past the hour and half hour. FYI... Coronation Street is not aired in terms of it being accessable to everyone in USA. So your popularity query is moot.

I know a fair bit about the show, yet have never seen it...only know about it through reference in other shows etc. I have no idea what TBS or Superstation is and cast no doubt over whether you hhad seen it or not.

Oh come on, the Honeymooners? Watch the one where Ralph sends a hate letter to his boss, transcribed by Norton, "you dirty bum, yours truly etc. etc." I love the one where Norton accidentally sends the wrong recording to Alice, who just left Ralph. "She's a BLAAAABERMOUTH"...talking about Alice's mother......"a BLAAAABERMOUTH." "BANG ZOOOOM" I love The Honeymooners and when I went on the old IMDB board there were arguments about Ralph being a domestic abuser. I realize domestic abuse is a real life occurrence that needs to be taken seriously, but I just never saw the show in that way.

Can't believe Soap, Monty Python and Parker Lewis popped up on lists... soap was a failure because it mixed farce with pathos, totally inept

One that springs to mind right away is The Inhumans. Dull and moronic with unlikable characters. Toss in poor set design for Attlan and pointless character too similar to She-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named.

Soap operas, any of them, though perhaps that's the point and I just don't have a sense of humor. The worst scripted series I've seen in a while were Rosewood, Will, and The Mick.

I didn't see many of the ones mentioned in this thread. For me the answer is always Cop Rock (1990). It was a police drama which also featured musical numbers. It lasted 11 episodes before being mercifully ended, but there are still excerpts on YouTube. The odd part is one of the creators was Steven Bochco who had a history of making popular tv shows.
