So is this movie really as bad as people say it is, or is it just another example of people exaggerating how bad a movie is ?

It tried to be a bit humoristic, so I give it that.
But for the rest, the plot is a copy of a copy of a copy of a copy, and it will end with a giant cgi fight.
6/10 because it wasn't pretentious!

I actually liked the movie, with my low expectations solidly entrenched beforehand--Nice plot, and good visual effects--Main problem was the nerdy bad guy,bad casting there--box office was not that bad, Worldwide gross of $244 million in today's money--Domestically,it grossed more than Tom Cruise's Oblivion,or his Edge Of Tomorrow film--But Green Lantern lost a ton of money since it cost $200 million to make

It's really not that good. The only thing that is on target was Mark Strong as Sinestro.

It's pretty bad but it is still watchable.
It has a bad script and isn't very well made. It's pretty much only saved by Reynolds, Mark Strong, some fun cgi and the villain.
It was pretty much a paycheck movie for all involved. You can tell that Martin Campbell was just not invested in it at all. Martin Campbell is a director where you can easily tell when he cares about what he is making (GoldenEye, Casino Royale, The Mask of Zorro) and when he doesn't (The Legend of Zorro, Green Lantern).

Well remember that good is subjective. Not when it's sitting on a certified fresh. So you like EVERY movie that is certified fresh on RT? If that is true than you are a sheep and you are unable to form your own opinions about movies.

No,but most of them yes. My point is Nostalgia critic's opinion on movies have lost credibility over the year because playing the critic has clearly gotten to his head and he thinks he has to hate every movie.
