A perfect storm of personal reasons we'll probably hear in the near future.

It's too early in the investigation to say. Could be anything from sociopathic tendancies to terrorism.
His family said they saw no signs of anything being wrong, which is typical in these types of situations.
He was also playing video poker in the casino earlier in the night.
Isis also claimed to be behind the attacks. Maybe he converted to radical Islam recently? Who knows. People don't just wake up one day and do something like this.
Terrible tragedy all around. RIP to all the victims.

It may have been his way of fighting against the so called "moral deterioration of society".

I think it will end up being political or based in some other type of ideology; which would be the classic definition of terrorism. I think he either hated people/society in general or was targeting that audience – or what he thought that audience was – specifically.

I won't be surprised if we never know. Whatever was wrong with him, or up with him, or bothering him, he apparently kept it to himself/he was able to give the public impression that everything was kosher as always, and he seems to have been careful to avoid saying things on social media, too.
Reminds me of some people who commit suicide. I've been through it a handful of times with friends unfortunately. Some never give any indication that anything was wrong, and they don't leave any info behind, either. It simply remains a mystery to the rest of us.
Maybe something will emerge from the investigation, and even if it doesn't, that won't stop people from crafting stories that they're comfortable with, that make them feel safer because they see this sort of thing as theoretically predictable, but that's all it would be--a story.

It may have been his way of fighting against the so called "moral deterioration of society". I think you need to remove the words "so-called" from that statement. I am in no way shape or form condoning what this maniac did, but I don't think it's really debatable how far we've fallen. Mass violence has become a regular thing and if that wasn't bad enough, you have people mocking it and ignoring the issue for the sake of pushing their political agenda over on the politics board.

For those who haven't heard, ISIS has claimed responsibility. Isn't that pathetic? I'm not making that up. Apparently they want to look like they are still a major power despite their recent losses. I doubt if any Americans take that claim seriously.

I don't think the reason will ever come to light, the real reason, I'm sure we'll get a dozen different theories, but too much that doesn't add up, people who were there who said 'multiple gunmen' are being ignored, this guy might've been A gunman, but all logic says he is not THE gunman, he was not a lone wolf like they want us to believe.

Could be any number of things.
Maybe his dog died. Maybe he stepped in gum. Maybe he found out he has cancer. Or, possibly, he just snapped, and decided to take it out on a bunch of innocent people.
Whatever the reason(s), what he did took careful planning.

I am not sure. He could have been working for ISIS or a Neon Nazi or he might have just been a random psychopath who was angry with his life and wanted to take out that anger on innocent people. A lot of people are talking about the motives but I think the more important question is if he was alone or this was part of some plan he came up with a friend and they are going to do it next. As sad as it is I think until something is done about the gun laws in America we are going to see more of this on the news every year and with all the people that have been killed by terrorist attacks this year 2017 has not been a great year and hopefully 2018 is better for everybody around the world.

Might he have become enraged because the loud music was keeping him awake? Sounds simplistic but things like that have happened.
