This is something that I admit that I will miss from Zack Snyder going forward. Some of the imagery and spectacle from Batman versus Superman or Man of Steel was impressively staged whether it be the battle of Smallville or the Knightmare sequence. As much of an unnecessary distraction the latter was in BVS, the depiction of Earth after Darkseid's invasion was nevertheless still haunting.
TEXT: With the upcoming Justice League bringing some of the biggest heroes in the DC Universe together there's no doubt that the film will match that large scale. Now, however, Ben Affleck says not only is Justice League big, but it's the biggest movie he's ever been involved with. In the most recent issue of Empire Magazine (via Comic Book Movie), Affleck said that the Justice League movie is larger in scale than anything he's ever done before and that includes his first turn as Batman in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. "The movie's bigger in scale than any movie I've been involved with my career," Affleck said. "It feels massive in terms of the visual elements." For Justice League to be bigger than anything he's done before is a tall order. In addition to Batman v Superman, Affleck also starred Michael Bay's epic war drama Pearl Harbor which itself had large visual elements and effects. But with Justice League having started out as Zack Snyder's vision, the film would have been a small affair. Big and visually stunning is a Snyder hallmark, something that Affleck says fans will admire when they see Justice League come to life. "That's something Zack is really good at," Affleck said. "That will be admired." comicbook.com/dc/2017/10/02/justice-league-ben-affleck-biggest-movie/

I am soooooooooooooooo excited for this movie! I can't wait to see Affleck back as Batman/B.Wayne, Gal Gadot returning as WW/Diana Prince, and Cyborg looks pretty cool- plus we get Com.Gordon & Alfred, and a flashback/etc. with the Amazons. I'm totally game!

Also, Gadot, Affleck, and JK Simmons have all said this is "Snyder's Movie" and Joss was really just completing Snyder's vision.
So I think a lot of these "Joss is reshooting half the film' rumors are just BS.

They change their minds about what they are doing so often that there's no longer any point in paying attention.

So I think a lot of these "Joss is reshooting half the film' rumors are just BS. Well Gal herself said she did only a week of additional shooting, this was similar to Momoa who had finished his shooting rather quickly as well, as indicated by a social media post at the end of June. In the interview with Empire, Gal said that Whedon only did "a few weeks of reshoots" on JL, reaffirming my belief that the shoots were minimal and only spread over two months due to scheduling- in reality, the amount of material Whedon shot was probably a few weeks worth of photography. Obviously these tidbits rarely gained attention from the media cos making the DCEU look like an absolute Trainwreck by pushing forward BS rumours is what's popular these days. I mean I posted these details on the r/movies subreddit... post seems to have mysteriously vanished.

So is Snyder done for good? Or will he return sometime down the line?
I really don't want Joss Whedon running the show, especially after Ultron.

So is Snyder done for good? Or will he return sometime down the line? I really don't want Joss Whedon running the show, especially after Ultron. This is from last July. And he's stated last month he's hasn't come back to the JL production. TEXT: Now Warner Bros. is making it clear that Zack and Deborah Snyder are still very much a part of the franchise going forward. Toby Emmerich, president of Warner Bros. Pictures, had this to say: "The Snyders remain an important part of the Warner Bros. family and are actively involved in several upcoming DC pictures, including their continued creative input on Justice League. We are excited about our partnership and look forward to our continued collaboration." Zack Snyder will be credited as a producer on future DCEU movies, such as James Wan's Aquaman and The Flash: Flashpoint, Mashable reports. (They'll also receive credits on Justice League, since Whedon's role is comparatively small.) When the Snyders are ready to work again, it sounds like they'll still have a seat at the table. In the meantime, the franchise is moving forward under the guidance of DC Films president Geoff Johns, Jenkins, Whedon (who tackles Batgirl next) and Wan, all bringing their own visions to these beloved DC characters. But whatever those visions look like, they'll be rooted in Snyder's original. moviepilot.com/p/zach-snyder-still-involved-dceu/4332428

You really are a dumb MCU fan who doesn't know anything about movies. Both The Wizard of Oz and Gone With the Wind had multiple Directors and both movies were nominated for a Best Picture Oscar and Gone with the Wind won the Oscar.

No, we MCU fans wanted the DCEU, X-Men, and Fantastic Four movies to succeed, but the DCEU didn't deliver all the goods till Wonder Woman, X-Men is a mixed bag, and there hasn't been a single good Fantastic Four movie made to date. And it wasn't MCU fans who started those "BS rumors" you refer to, there is no evidence to suggest that was the case at all.

Both The Wizard of Oz and Gone With the Wind had multiple Directors and both movies were nominated for a Best Picture Oscar and Gone with the Wind won the Oscar. You don't know anything about movies either. Both The Wizard of Oz and Gone With the Wind were produced in the 1930s when the industry as we know it now was a fairly different environment and such productions were not a dime a dozen and proved very rigorous to make. As it stands in Hollywood history these two films are but the exception, not the rule, and most times when this sort of things occurs the results are less than desired - See the documentary "Lost Soul" and what went on with the making of the 1996 version of The Island of Dr. Moreau. And if you think of bringing up that animated features sometimes have various directors at helm, they are a different form of cinema, though they set out to tell a story the execution and technicality is a whole different ballpark.

Your opinion doesn't count. Oh, and Whedon is a million times the filmmaker Snyder will ever be. At least he understands the characters he's adapting to screen. If the film's good, it will only be because Whedon fixed Snyder's mess.

I find your visceral dislike of Weedon amusing btw, but agree on Ultron: all magic and energy of Avengers suddenly gone. Was was not his fault alone, IMO it was Marvel/Feige intervening with idiotic Thor cave stuff etc. Though the "I can't have babies, I feel like a monster - hide your zucchini in me Hulk" crap came from him...

I find it astounding that a notorious fanfic author who promotes his Pony and SailorMoon fanfic with being "edgier & darker" and being more mature/brutal is always harping on professional writers doing the same with their source materials. Just see his My Little Poy Chronicles:tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Fanfic/MyLittlePonyChroniclesHypocrisy thy name is enviousraptor (and ArchArchEloi)

Oh I know marvel forced the cave scene, you won't find me defending that bullshit. My issue with Whedon was taking the creepy evil cold-hearted killing machine and replacing it with a evil Tony stark. I don't hate Joss Whedon, he gave us Buffy and Firefly (which was criminally cancelled by fox) and I thought he did a good job with the first Avengers film, but age of Ultron was such a massive disappointment and turning Ultron into a whedonfied vilian didn't sit well with me.
