The 3rd annual slut walk took place last week.
My local cal gym offers pole dancing for women as exercise.
I’m sorry, I don’t mean this in a negative way but this is why America hasn’t elected a female president.
Women need to be ladies. You can call it liberating or whatever you want to Dress it up as, at the end of the day it says “we are nothing more than sex objects for men”
Now that may not be your intention, but average Joe Blow is going to see it that way. Until women act dignified as a whole, this perception won’t end.
What if men had a Pimp Walk, and strutted in suits and canes to promote ownership and dominance as a gender?

That mentality is what they're fighting against, for good reason. You want to keep them in line, make them serve a narrowly prescribed social role, etc. If men had a pimp walk, it wouldn't affect them in any way.

Slut walk is a stupid term.
Having one night stands don`t make you a slut.

I mean I like dressing sexy when I go it 'cause it is empowering and when I dress sexy or do Cosplay it is for myself and my Wifey who dresses sexy for me and it is her who is undressing me at the end of the day - sure as hell not any guys, no offence.

What I'm saying is all people need to act appropriate. Why is it okay for women to say "I'm a slut and I'm proud." Then if a man says "I'm a womanizer, I like to sleep around." Then women vilify the man? Also, I'm just telling you the perception. If you want to change the male 'thinking' of women, then women need to act the part and not give the average man a reason to think that.

I didn't say you were dressing up for men. You could be dressing up for women. That is fine. What I'm saying is, the 'perception' is that women in America are sex objects (by the average joe blow). There are a ton of average joes out there. So when they vote, they see women as nothing more than a sex object, not a leader. I am saying "don't you want to change the perception?"

I'm not telling women what they should or shouldn't do. I'm not telling women to act how 'I' feel is appropriate. What I'm saying is 'if women WANT progress' when it comes to the way men view them, then this is what they should do. If the DON'T want men to see them as leaders, and as capable of being more than a sex object, then that's fine too. Women can be or do whatever they want. If they want to have 'Slut Walk' and "pole dance" as exercise, or spend 1B dollars world wide on "Fifty Shades of Grey" (making men feel that women want to be dominated) then that's fine. However, don't expect for average Joe to vote for a woman president.

Nevermind, you either don't get what I'm saying or you're playing ignorant. I was sitting next to my wife, and she said "I can't believe they have Slut Walk, this gives us women a bad name" and I thought I'd make a statement. That is all. If women want to be objectified by men, that's cool. Do whatever you want.

You can look at it this way: is having a "slut walk" going to change the behavioral template that folks like mellomoviereview have in their mind re what's "appropriate for women"? Probably not. But, conforming to the behavioral template of folks like that by staying within the realm of what they feel is "appropriate" sure as hell isn't going to change the template either.

Anything that she says or does is idiotic. The whole concept of the "Slut Walk" is absurd. The rest of your post, however, is ridiculous. Taking a pole dancing class does not make you a stripper. Being a stripper doesn't make you a prostitute. Your comments border on Neanderthal.

Men too. This entire generation is full of immature adults who want to be kids forever. There is a point where self respect and dignity mean something. If women want the perception of the world of men to change for them, they need to change it. That's all I'm saying.

Aye, and thanks, Mello; and please, dear God, hasten the day when self-respect and dignity mean something again.

On the other hand, when I hear men bragging about how they are not serious about women, they just like to sleep around, aren't ever going to settle down, like to spread it around a lot, I don't think much of the man either.
That kind of thing isn't attractive to me, whether it is a man or a woman. But a pole-dancing class at a gym is no big deal. Unless the girls are going out to the parking lot in their underwear.

I only hold that against a man if he deceives the women in the process of promiscuity. If he is open about his intentions, or lack thereof, and the women are accepting and on the same page, then I see no problem.

What if men had a Pimp Walk, and strutted in suits and canes to promote ownership and dominance as a gender? It's a skill not every man can learn.

Yes ok as long as the women really are of the exact frame of mind as the man. Many times, men like this prey on any woman, and expect her to adjust her standards to his. Someone's intentions are one thing, but the result of their actions should count for most of it. A man saying "I am going to treat you like garbage" doesn't make it ok.
