Personally i think Stonehenge has always been used as ceremony to celebrate the solstice. At least that was the original use for it i think.

Stonehenge was built in 3 stages between 3100 BC and 1600 BC.

Actually the Stonehenge was already built when the first Druids came to the British isles. The first mention of the Druids was in around the 4th century A.D. The Stonehenge was finish in about 1600 BC. They did of course use the Stonehenge but they had nothting do with the building of it.

Wow, fascinating! I never knew that Stonehenge had been reconstructed. I always assumed that the stones had stood like that throughout the passing of the centuries. What a disappointment!
