This pisses me off so much. I was really looking forward to seeing this after thanksgiving. Who's dumb idea was it to push it back?

The dumber idea was to do a remake in the first place.

The dumber idea was to do a remake in the first place. Yes and no. I'm excited to see what they do with this one. There's no doubt they pushed it back because of the Las Vegas shooting.

The dumber idea was to do a remake in the first place. The original DW, is more of a cult classic, than a classic classic. It spawned 4 sequels and it is not going to suffer from a reboot\remake. I will look forward to seeing this, and will just have to wait until March now. I guess it was in good taste to postpone the release date, due to it's subject matter, even though it really has nothing to do with it. PCness, usually wins out in the end, but perhaps in this case, it might have been the most appropriate thing to do.

I mean I am surmising a flop?. Perhaps. It didn't seem that bad from the trailer.

I mean I am surmising a flop?. Perhaps. It didn't seem that bad from the trailer. It will be going up against a film with a female lead, which may not be as appealing as a revenge flick with Bruce Willis. I'd say, regardless of whenever it is released, it would do moderate business at best, due to it's violent nature. If it does become more popular, this would be a bonus. Females and younger audiences might prefer Red Sparrow and it will be a film for the more discerning film goer, rather than a gut wrenching and visceral experience like DW would be. Many, may want to see both however. I don't see any detriment to the business DW would do regardless of when they released it. It's only held back due to the Vegas incident.

It's only held back due to the Vegas incident. Oh duh, I forgot. I'm going to hell I guess. Nah! Incidents like Vegas can happen anywhere and anytime. Movies can't be blamed and have nothing to do with other people's behavior. It is more about understandable public sentiment and fragility at this stage. Films just reflect life. If something similar happens around Feb next year, is it going to get held back again?

UGH thats annoying I wanted to watch this this year. I know. I did too. They really fucked up by not releasing it in November. No one really sees movies in march anyway. After thanksgiving would have made more sense since people do like to go see a movie after thanksgiving.

Yeah can't see why they aren't releasing in November not like ragnarok or justice league would affect box office Like I said there is no doubt they pushed it back till march because of the vegas shooting. I bet they're worried due to that the movie will lose money because no one wants to see someone shooting people. If they're that worried than people don't get the premise of Death Wish. He's murdering criminals.
