Soon Barry Allen on TV Flash will cross dimensions and end up on “SMALLVILLE” where Tom Welling is Clark Kent.
Sounds great!

Please provide a source, or I won't believe your rumor, because The Flash has already had a crossovers with Supergirl, and on her Earth there is a Clark Kent/Superman, who is played by an actor who is NOT Tom Welling.
While, it is true that there are several Earths in the Flash/Arrow multiverse, it seems that in all of the different realities, the characters are played by the same actors, and if Tom Welling is really going to play Clark Kent, I would like to know, how this is supposed to be explained.

Tom was asked to play Superman and Rosenbaum to guest as Lex. They both turned down the roles. Tom said he was done. The CW wants him in this DC TV Universe in some capacity. Now, Tom Welling says he is 'open to the idea' of doing a Flash guest appearance but only as Clark Kent. He said the reason he turned down Supergirl is because the 'tone of the show' was different than SMALLVILLE and he didn't want to play SUPERMAN in the suit. The Flash is more akin to the tone of SMALLVILLE and he said he would be okay with Flash showing up at KENT FARM and he's plaid shirt Clark. Basically, if he wants to do this, the CW wants him in some capacity. That means it will happen.

Since Tyler Hoechlin was cast as Clark Kent/Superman on Supergirl, which is now a part of the Flash/Arrowverse, Unless the writers can come up with some wild plot device to explain the two different actors, Don't count on it!However..., other past actors who have close ties with other famous superhero media, have shown up in the Flash/Arrowverse as other characters, such as: Brandon Routh, Dean Cain, Helen Slater, Lynda Carter, Teri Hatcher, (Just to name a few)... Tom Welling could still make an appearance as another character...PERHAPS... that is similar to: Clark Kent/Superman

Tom Welling could still make an appearance as another character...PERHAPS... that is similar to: Clark Kent/Superman I've been thinking about this... Since Barry had no knowledge of a Superman/Supergirl on his Earth, when he met Kara... That would suggest there is no Kal-El/Kara on Earth in his reality. Perhaps there is no Krypton, or Krypton did not explode, or at the very least, Kal-El/Kara were never sent to Earth 1. Maybe they were killed on Krypton when it exploded... And since "Clark Kent" is the adoptive name given to Kal-El by the Kent Family... What if...The Kents, ended up adopting a human child, and name him "Clark Kent"?... ( Didn't this happen on an episode of Smallville, in an alternate reality, when Clark considered letting Brainiac kill him as a baby on Krypton?)... And when that child grew up, he just happened to look like Tom Welling? Clark Kent just happened to be in Central City the night, the STAR Labs particle accelerator explosion happened... ( and was perhaps next to a chunk of Kryptonite?)... and Clark Kent became a meta-human, with the powers that "Superman" has... Clark has been hiding out on his Kansas farm for the last few years, learning how to use his powers, and trying to figure out what to do with them... Clark has an encounter with the Flash, and learns he is Barry Allen. They have an adventure together, and Barry suggests that Clark should eventually become "Superman"... At @mellomoviereview : How does that work for you?

What's with his (and Smallville's) aversion to the suit? Really weird.

I never watched 'Smallville'. Is the following still going on strong? I was in the thick of the SMALLVILLE craze. I was 14 when it premiered, and so was Clark. So I followed it all the way. The thing people were attracted to about that show was Welling’s spirit. He got the Spirit of Superman right. He is the closest thing to the heart and soul of the character since Chris Reeve.
