Absolutely not. New Order a top band of the '90s? That's like saying The Beach Boys are a top band of the '90s. Do you know anything about New Order? They released five brilliant albums IN THE EIGHTIES! They released pure sh!t in the '90s. The song "Regret" was decent New Order, but other than that anything they released was garbage...and I don't even think they released much material in the '90s. Kid, go buy New Order's '80s albums. I won't tell you which one to buy because any one of them is worth its weight in gold.

Dude, "Age Of Consent" is like 1982. Come on, what are you going to say next..."Hey Jude" is the best song from a '90s Brit band?

Far from their best track, though.

Essential New Order?
Well, "Ceremony" happens to be one of the world's greatest songs. I have heard that song over a thousand times and it still affects me and moves me like no other song.
If I had to make an essential mix tape of twenty New Order songs these would be the ones everyone should know:
Ceremony Dreams Never End Leave Me Alone Procession Chosen Time
Mesh Thieves Like Us Your Silent Face Temptation Perfect Kiss
Regret 1963 Blue Monday Face Up Lonesome Tonight
Bizarre Love Triangle Vanishing Point Age Of Consent ICB All Day Long
And there are about twenty other masterpieces I could list. As you can see I am a huge fan of the band. I like it best when they crank up the guitars rather than the synths, but they do do the synth thing better than every synth band. What songs you dig?

You missed out their greatest song. World in Motion. Just goes to show, if you want a great record made, you either ring up the blacks, you ring up the Irish, or you ring up the British. John Barnes notwithstanding. In fact Barnes put up with a lot of racial shit during his football career in the 80s, but perhaps greatest of all was when New Order assumed he'd be able to rap.

Ah, memories, eh?!!
Remember this crowd? They're still around today (well, the original lead singer and guitarist) I'm excited to be seeing them on June 15th for the first time. I missed them live in the old days, but their latest single is the bizzo, to my ears anyway (or as my YT comment says "F*cking devastatingly magnificent"
"Hey Hey Hey" (2017)
