What are the chances of it actually having a good score on Rotten Tomatoes? The trailers seem to be well made except for the Believe song and the mustache on Branagh (what was up with that?). The writer is questionable, but he did write Blade Runner 2049 and that is doing really well, but also Branagh is a really hit or miss director.
I'd like to believe that this could be a really good movie and that it will do well, but it's too early to tell at this time.
What do you guys think?

Even Kenneth Branaugh's worst films are still watchable like Frankenstein (1994). I think it'll be good.

It's one of my least favorite installments; I go back and forth between that and Patriot Games. Did you check out the trailer for the Amazon series? It doesn't look half bad.

I think it could be good, and if it is, maybe J. Dench will get her wish. She joked they ought to round up the same cast, do several movies, and each take a turn at being murderer, victim, etc.

It probably won't be as good as the original from 1974 with Albert Finney,Ingrid Bergman etc.The original was nominated for several Oscars(with one win).Hollywood is running out of ideas...

Hollywood is running out of ideas...Not really, thousands of movies come out a year, many of them would be considered original. There is nothing wrong with adapting a book, sometimes the adaptation is better, example; Tom Ford's 'Nocturnal Animals'. There is nothing wrong with creating sequels, look at Blade Runner 2049, It's a triumph in every way, sans it's performance at the box office. Remakes have the opportunity to expand upon either a hated, or loved film of the past. These things are fine, and it goes without saying that we still get great original films, example: Arrival (Adapted from a short story), Manchester by the Sea, The Nice Guys, Etc.
Original is a matter of perspective. Ex Machina was considered refreshing despite films, such as 'The Machine', tackling the thematic subject matter a few years prior.
The reason you see less original ideas is due to corporate greed, there are still original movies out there.
