It's a lesser version of Portman. She never cared about these movies and walked the first chance she got but now says she'd like to come back since her post-Black Swan career hasn't gone anywhere.
He complained about the Thor movies after Dark World and now after his attempt at a franchise of his own went up with Dark Tower he wants to get back in their good books.

I'm fine with that. Personally, I think they miscast Heimdall with Elba. Not because he's black or anything, I would have been fine with any black actor playing him. Elba should have just been cast as a bigger character because he's kinda an A-list actor. If there are any major Thor comic stories with Heimdall, they should try to adapt it. I'm pretty even Heimdall dies at some point. In Avengers 4, if Thanos does invade Asgard, you could have Heimdall go out like a boss against Thanos. A lot of possibilities you could do with the character

I like the guy, but I don't know what role he could possibly play. I don't think they're going to race bend a major character, so what does that leave him? He's not a fit for blade.

Well, if they keep the Thor movies going, Heimdall might have a bigger part to play yet.

Well, if they keep the Thor movies going, Heimdall might have a bigger part to play yet. I was really curious when they suggested this might be the start of a new take on Thor. It would be incredibly ironic if Thor is the series that winds up with 4 or 5 films, and I would honestly very much look forward to that if they're going in a crazy new direction.

I’d be happy with him as Captain Britain, but I’m not sure if the shitstorm would be worth it.
I don’t mind older actors playing younger roles, and I’d like him as Cloak or Night Thrasher.
I agree with him. Heimdall is a forgettable role.

It will get mentioned, but shit storms only happen with big characters like Bond or something. Notice nobody really cared about Moneypenny.

But more importantly, how would they possibly use Captain Britain anyway? They aren't doing a solo with him, I'd be sure. Does he just join up when an Avenger mission passes through England? I really don't know anything about the character to make a guess at how they'd use him.

Only way he can take another role is for them to ignore Heimdall. Or pretend he was never the character and replace him. Or make him a shape shifter who takes on the appearance of a slain Heimdall.

I have never read any CB comics myself. I wouldn’t rule out them making a CB movie. He is less obscure than GOTG when they were brought to the screen. And Marvel has displayed an effort to be dynamic, which seems to be working for them financially. They’ve done that with all the new titles they’re introducing. They’re not just relying on sequels with existing characters, which they could safely do.

The Guardians offer something new and exciting and Captain Britain comes off as more or less a knock off of what we've already seen. Whether he's more well known or not doesn't really matter, and it's not like he's much more well known.
I agree that Marvel likes going with new things, and I like that article, but I'd be willing to bet Capt Britain isn't getting to lead character status with them. He very well might show up though.

He'd be too old to be Cloak anyways.

He wasn't exactly Mr. Mainstream, either.

I wonder why he settled for maybe ge was tricked. He could of been BP or Blade. I hear DC wanted him to play John Stewart too.
If Idris gets another chance Kat Dennings should too. She needs to be Black Cat(meow) or some female hero or villian

She needs to be Black Cat(meow) or some female hero or villian When Thor was made, no one thought the MCU would be what it is today. Also Idris whereas established, wasn’t quite as big a star back then. The prospect of working with Kenneth Branagh in a huge production must have been exciting. It wasn’t about settling. I could totally understand why he’d take it. Agree about Kat Dennings. I like her too.
