Do you think he should? I know fans would be excited at Arnold, Linda, and Robert together again on the big screen, but I feel like there's a risk of the movie feeling derivative and that Terminator 6 would be just rehashing Terminator 2.

I mentioned in another thread, the only way this works for me is if Sarah is on a mission with T-800 aged Arnold human model for SkyNet. Patrick could fit in there as another human model being taken by SkyNet.
There is no other way this casting holds credibility for me. If old ppl are action heroes in this franchise, I'm out.

I'd be down. Say what you want about Cameron, but he's never been one to rehash things in sequels. If he brought back Patrick, he'd probably do something interesting with him.
Plus, Patrick is always a treat. He deserves more work.

This is like the equivalent of Chris Nolan's involvement in Man of Steel. But he wasn't asked to put his name on this for PR, he got the rights and is spearheading it, and from the interviews I've seen, he actually seems to care. Or maybe he doesn't, I'm just giving it the benefit of the doubt until I see it.

Well people have concerns that Cameron's involvement now with the Terminator would be like Ridley Scott's involvement with Alien: Covenant or George Lucas's involvement with Phantom Menace. An instance where the original creative person coming back perhaps wasn't such a good idea even though on paper it seems great.
