It has to be considered one of the classics since Poltergeist clearly ripped it off and really cashed in at the box office. The mother was on the verge of hysteria. Who wouldn't be. She was awesome in that role. I loved her reaction when the guy found the dimension and his arm went inside the wall

tell me about it, i can't think of how often i've come by a popular movie made after twilight zone and goes "that's just like the twilight zone", but also stuff that were made before that twilight zone was similar to, but rod serling seemed open about it, saying for example the episode "a passage from trumpet" was his take on the christmas classic "its a wonderful life", but twilight zone seem to be the ground for alot of very big movies... i remember someone commented on a twilight zone dvd box that rod serling used himself up on twilight zone and should have gone into movies, and i'm kind of glad he didn't, cause now we've got 5 seasons of legendary bits packed with the greatest stories and the greatest generation of actors performing in them, also i have to recommend "the twilight zone radio dramas" to you where the episodes to the classic series has been adapted to radio in the 21st century, little girl lost is found there, some episodes are twice the running time of the original tv episodes, i have to tell you, i love the radio dramas as much as the tv series. Yeah that's true Pete. I remember that happening to me as well. I can't recall exactly what it was but it's happened. That's an interesting concept about going to radio. That's very intriguing. Especially since you say some episodes are twice the running time.

Thanks so much jayhn1111 for your subject post .

My pleasure Poltergeist was the obvious one because even some of the dialogue was the same. I wish I could remember the other times. It'll come to me I'm sure when I watch the whole series again. I wasn't a huge poltergeist fan so I prefer the TZ episode anyways

I like Little Girl Lost, but it was very poorly done--even by early 60s standards.

You could just feel the emotion coming out of the parents Watch it closely. The little girl is never holding onto the dog's leash, and you never see the girl's mouth moving--though we can hear her. Plus, I absolutely DETESTED the main actress who played the mother. She was everywhere in those days, from TZ to Thriller to even Perry Mason. Hated her and her delivery.

I remember seeing this episode about a week after seeing "Poltergeist" and my mouth fell open. Like you said, it was almost a direct copy down to the dialogue.

This gave Catman nightmares when he was a kitten.
