"Look like me? You of all people should know I would never in my life wear black silk underwear!"Chad Wagner (Jean-Claude Van Damme) is a young man who lives safely in quiet surroundings of Los Angeles, where he runs a successful martial art studio along with his best friend and uncle Frank Avery (Geoffrey Lewis). But when Frank brings up the possibility of doing a great business deal in Hong Kong, the once happier and peaceful days ends the very moment when Chad finds out about what really happened to his parents and out of it comes a new found lust for vengeance and justice, which will bring along a very big surprise, and take him far into the heart of crime boss Raymond Zhang's (Philip Chan) ruthless world.
Classic early 90s Van Damme action film. Hilarious, cheesy and full of memorable quotes, fight-scenes, and well, you have two Van Damme's for the price of one, so it is what it is, and then some. My second favorite of Van Damme movie of the 90s, only beaten by Universal Soldier (1992). This one goes way over-the-top when it comes to action and it works, very well. I love that Bolo Yeung show up, once again as the main henchman, and I only wished he would get more screen time, but well, it is still cool that Van Damme brought him back for another showdown. Then we have the stunning Alonna Shaw (wonder what happened to her?) as the love interest for both of the Wagner brothers, and Geoffrey Lewis as the older father figue to the two troubled "kids". "I can do the splits, no proooooobleeeeem" Bolo Yeung being a total badass, as usual.

I remember the movie for Corey Everson.
It totally deserves a Bollywood remake.

Gotta love the 90s fashion sense... and of course we get two Van Damme's with amusingly differing personalities. Means double the fun.
The henchmen they assemble also go a long way to making the showdowns standout and the script's favourite choice of dialogue is tell others to virtually "get f**k!"

One of my all-time favorite JCVD movies. Excellent example of the martial arts action movies of the 80's-90's.
