Couldn't you come up with some more choices?

P.S. Crimson Tide and The Abyss are my second and third favorites.

Do you mean: a movie that has a central theme under the water...or...a DVD that I threw in a lake because it was rubbish?

The Hunt for Red October is my favorite, but I like The Abyss a lot (going by movies on the list).
James Cameron loves to have grouchy but good women as his leads and this movie doesn't disappoint.
VERY grouchy in the beginning - even most of the crew hates her - but very good overall.

It's not an underwater movie, but I think 'Hard Rain' is the wettest movie I've ever seen.
