imo its T2 . Cameron really ramped up the action in it and the special effects were ground breaking at the time.

Terminator 2: Judgment Day - Changing Schwarzenegger from villain to hero and the pseudo cop who could morph at will, put this over the first Terminator for me (although I think both are great).

For me it's a lot like Alien and Aliens. Alien was an excellent film, but Aliens was an over the top just total B.A. film. Same thing here with Terminator and Terminator 2.
T2 wins.

The Terminator...which I'm watching as I type this coincidentally. Love the mood of it compared to the sequel and it's got some genuinely creepy and scary moments.
I don't hate anyone for picking T2 tho. I had that above for about 20 years. Then I rewatched both last year and changed my mind.
Should be a 2 horse race tho. I'd be surprised if anyone genuinely preferred any of the other films over the first 2.
