Nobody likes Thursday Night Football, and nobody wants to make the damn threads, so please join me tonight for a rush of shit and color on short rest.
Wait, what? A bonafide great-looking game between two teams, and two quarterbacks, having excellent seasons so far. Newton is looking the best he's been since 2015 and Wentz is really progressing. These are arguably the top two teams in the NFC thus far, folks, and one of them will rise to 5-1.
I believe the Eagles are wearing all-black, Panthers all-blue. Carolina unis especially look like pyjamas. Standard TNF fare. But the quality should be high! I like the Birds for this one. If you ain't watching the NLDS, then what about you??

Eagles are wearing all-white, not all-black. Sorry for the mistake.

Other than the forced fumble and the sack, the Eagles are advancing very easily like I predicted. The Panthers don't do well against teams that pass deeply, and the Eagles' offense adds double threat to it, running well too. This will be an Eagles victory, I think.

Nice going on the FG... that wasn't the cleanest snap, but the dude prevailed.

For once a good Thursday Night game. I think the Eagles will win, I'm not as high on the Panthers as a lot of people. Cam has looked good but I'm skeptical about their defense and I really like what the Eagles have, very complete team.

Wow, I was thinking like you and it's still early but the Panthers couldn't be more impressive by now, which phenomenal defense, and this TD drive they just put together was a thing of beauty. If they maintain this quality until the end (which of course remains to be seen) then I'll need to really change my mind about the Panthers and acknowledge that they are for real.

Oh wow, 7 plays from 12 and the Panthers' defense almost survived the push, but then ultimately didn't. It's gotta be discouraging (and it increases fatigue at the end of the game). Interception, a failed defensive stance, game tied... this is really a bad break for the Panthers and swings momentum.
It's hard to know where this game will go. I was first convinced that the Eagles would win, then the Panthers, now the Eagles again.
Hard fought battle. It's living up to the hype, this game between two 4-1 teams.
At this point I'm no longer rooting for the Eagles. I'm rooting for a back-and-forth nail-bitting battle until the end, and may the best one prevail.

Kuechly got injured? I hadn't noticed. Oh boy, Carolina is unlucky. Lost Olsen; if they lose Kuechly too, they will have lost two out of their top three players (Newton of course being the third).
This changes the equation. Advantage Atlanta, for the NFC South.

It looks like the Panthers are toast.

Ballsy call. Especially since they converted.

Carolina's D is definitely not the same without Kuechly. I expect Philadelphia to score at will in the fourth quarter.

Huge blunder by Carolina's coaching staff. The kicker, apparently, in half time kicked from the 58, just to show that he could have done it (and nailed it).
If Carolina were just two points behind, the last drive would have been different because they'd win with a FG. Why in the hell didn't Rivera let his kicker try the 3 points at the end of the first half?
Pretty bad interceptions by Cam Newton, too.
Carolina squandered this game.
And without Kuechly they're not the same.
I think the mood in Charlotte must be pretty bleak, tonight. They appeared legit in weeks 4 and 5... but not in week 6.

I'm pretty sure the Panthers would have won this game if Luke stayed healthy until the end. Right before his injury, the defense was destroying the Eagles' offense. Kuechly was reading the blitz all the time and blocking the incoming Eagles. Without him, Cam got vulnerable, under pressure, and threw more interceptions. Luke Kuechly's function and contribution can't be underestimated.
