Here and at IMDb the same people talk about the same major sports: baseball, football (both kinds), or basketball. These people do not go beyond those major sports. Yeah, they might mention golf or hockey, but most here (and in the world) just stick to the three or four major sports.
marco26, on the other hand LOVES all sports. I love the major sports AND tennis, boxing, auto racing, figure skating, gymnastics...I am a sports fan. My question: why do you just stick with the big sports?
I don't want to be rude to any members here, but I will signal out one member. That klawrencio fag...for him it is just baseball. He has season tickets, he watches all baseball games, he goes to Cooperstown once a week, he plays Stratomatic every Saturday night with his life partners.. He never ventures into sports outside of baseball. Why? Why is he like that and why are you the same?

I love the major sports AND tennis, boxing, auto racing, figure skating, gymnastics Instead of shaking your head "no," you should give those other sports a try. Take auto racing, for instance. Legendary, three time Super Bowl winning head coach Joe Gibbs left the NFL to go to NASCAR because he knew that sport was just as fantastic as football. Other sports can be just as great as the four major sports, you know.

Personal taste. I don't like every genre of music and I don't enjoy every type of movie.

Personal taste. I don't like every genre of music and I don't enjoy every type of movie. Music and movies? Bad analogy. Sport is sport. Why do you like sports? The athleticism, the competition, the rivalries...that stuff is all in the non-major sports. What you find in football, you can find in NASCAR...just ask Joe Gibbs.

Instead of shaking your head "no," you should give those other sports a try. Now that St Louis is a "two sport town", I am trying to get into BLUES hockey... we are 4-0 so far...

Music is sounds, placed in an order that is (supposedly) pleasing to the ear. Sports is a structured competition, framed by rules unique (somewhat) to that sport. Only in the basic sense, sounds in order, can you equate Chopin to Motorhead. Only in the basic sense, competition with rules, can you equate basketball with NASCAR. Chopin is not to everyone's taste. NASCAR is not to everyone's taste.

I follow Miami's baseball (Marlins), basketball (Heat), football (Dolphins) and hockey (Panthers) teams. If and when Miami gets a soccer team, I'll follow them, too, even though following the four teams I do already takes way, way too much of my time.
Between the four of them, that's already 342 games per year that I try to watch the bulk of, not including if they get into the playoffs.
And even if my teams aren't in it, I still watch a lot of playoff games, too--especially if Cleveland or New York teams are in the playoffs, because those are the other two places I have long-term ties to.
And whenever the Olympics are on, I try to watch a lot of it.
Plus I watch a lot of the Tour de France when I can (I'm a biking fanatic--that's one of my primary forms of exercise).
I'm also a huge film fan. And I play videogames a bit. I just don't have time for anything else.

To answer this troll's question, it's quite simple: my life doesn't revolve around sports. I have other interests. So there is only time left to follow closely a couple of major sports, the ones I like best. If a person follows every single sport, then most likely that person doesn't have a life, or at least not a very varied life. I have a job, a family, real life friends, and other interests and hobbies. I like sports but they are just part of the good things I enjoy in life.

I try to start UFC threads, and if Im lucky, L-U-C-K-Y granny & xystophoros respond. So I feel the pain. With that, it goes NFL > NBA > UFC > MLB Hockey, it's hard as I cant stand Dallas teams, and no Houston team in hockey, so it's hard for me to care if I got nothing to at least root for. As golf...well:

Mayor Guiliani was a huge sports fan. He had no life? How about this, numbnuts: there are people like me and the President and the Mayor who have COMPLETE lives. We have family, friends, jobs, sports, movies, books, playing music...we enjoy a full, varied life.
